Off to see Australia v Nigeria tomorrow. Whilst in cricket I always want the Aussies to lose regardless of who they’re playing, in football I like to see them do well (unless they play England) as it’s good for the sport over here.

Should be fun, a full house at Suncorp Stadium (or the Brisbane Stadium as FIFA insist it be called during the tournament) is always a great atmosphere especially with a partisan home crowd.

The Matildas went down 2-3 to Nigeria which doesn't do a lot for their qualifying chances.

Lots of self reflection and negativity around me on the bus home from the game last night.

I was impressed by Nigeria last night (thought they had a game plan and executed it well) and think they’ll beat Ireland here in Brisbane on Monday. Which means Australia would HAVE to beat Canada to get out of the group, and I’m not convinced that happens.

After a strong opening 20 that once again wasn't very convincing, we're going to get ripped apart by a team that knows how to attack with this setup.
 
They were far better than the Haiti game and will improve again as the Tourney progresses. Attacking wise they ripped Denmark apart time and again. If they take more of their chances against China they will do OK.
 
China's win over Haiti means we're not through yet, we need at least a draw otherwise we'd be relying on Haiti to do us a big favour.
 
Haiti are awful tbh. My Chinese cherubs went down to 10 men after 29 minutes and we still bossed the whole match with only a 1-0 win. China need Haiti to get a get a 1-0 win and avoid defeat to England to go through.
