The Hobbit

Just watched a video of the premiere. Getting excited now.

Going to have to go to Chelmsford though as Southend not showing the 48fps version ?

I was quite surprised Jackson could flesh it out to three films. However, I heard an interview with one of Tolkien's grandsons and apparently the family a quiet happy for Jackson to add to the plot.

Really? Last I heard the estate were very much against films of LOTR.

Tolkiens son described them as action films for 18-25 year olds.

Think he is being harsh, I loved the films and re-read the books straight after and thought Peter Jackson did a great job of converting them.

Great.

Booked tickets for the Friday night and then Mrs Jam said she is out that night. Have now arranged to go with my brother. Just two guys going to the cinema together on a Friday night. Nothing at all gay about that then.

Especially as he's your brother.........or do you live near Colchester?

Some days you just can't get rid of a bomb!
This was on a random Sky channel the other day and I flicked over to show the GF that Batman used to be a lot different to the more recent dark adaptations. We watched that whole bomb scene and she wouldn't believe it was an actual film, thought it was some kind of camp joke!

Just got in from seeing The Hobbit and I must say I am very disappointed the film makes no mention of his outstanding contribution in the Wolves midfield for around 15 years, or of his often difficult relationship with his brother and Birmingham and Newcastle midfielder Terry. I can onlly assume this will be covered in the sequel.

Look for the bat shark repellent clip on YouTube. It makes the bomb sketch look like Citizen Kane.
