While we are resurrecting threads what are the views of the SZ collective after London?
Olympics - not even close. To be fair, 4 weeks ago I would have said the world Cup.
Also, where I have always considered myself to be form england, I am now from Great Britain.

Football sucks basically.

I'm getting a little tired of this bandwagon. Of course football has its faults, but so do many of the events in the Olympics. FFS, a gold medallist was chucked out yesterday for drug offences.

My answer to this question would be 'The Olympics', but I'm not going to start giving the game I love a shoeing just because I enjoyed the last two weeks.

Olympics for me,kind of ****ed off with all the top players around the world i'm sad to say,it's now boring.

This piece from the editor of the Racing Post quite nicely sums up my feelings

"....it's less easy to comprehend that football is getting a kicking simply for not being the Olympics. Yes, it would be nice if football's perennial tosspots started to realise that they don't need to dive and swear at refs and act arrogantly. But players of that ilk are actually few and far between.

Footballers. by and large, bring far more joy than misery to our lives and it's unfair to compare them to the rowers and hockey players, plenty of whom enjoy more advantageous upbringings than footballers, who grace our screens every four years.

We'll fall back in love with football before too long simply because it remains the greatest sport of all. Because Lionel Messi is a magician, because we love the taste of Bovril on a bitterly cold night, because of the late goal that completes your acca, because Sky covers it so well and for a million other reasons large and small"

Still Amy Williams in lycra, going at it fast whilst lying on top, although Vicky Pendleton has a certain charm, demonstrating she can come first or second depending on the situation.
