And of course the lovely Ms Schiffer:
I'm sure the slaughtered millions in Stalin's Soviet Union and Mao's China would disagree.
I heard that dead men tell no tales.:winking:
Of course, Marx had very little to do with Russian style Communism(and much less so by the time Stalin was in power) and can hardly be held responsible for Mao's China. You really need to brush up on 20th Century history, rather than just churning out cheap jibes at the drop of a hat.
What you're trying to say is that I should brush up on my socialist revisionism, whereby Marx is distanced from the murderous impulses of his Godless devotees. You really are a pompous oaf at times.

A special mention too required for Lowenbrau - don't see enough of the old lion these days.
Paulaner or Augustiner. Proper Bavarian beer from Munich. Had many a good session on these with no hangover due to purity laws banning chemicals.
I don't know about exports, but I think their best import is me.
Crusty,
FYI,
RC Tucker in "Philosopy and Myth in Karl Marx" made a useful distinction between what he described as "Marxian" thought ie ideas to be found in the works of Marx and Engels which he contrasted with the term "Marxist" thought ie with commentators who came after Marx and Engels, such as Lenin,Stalin etc :soapbox:
It would appear that you are the only person licenced on SZ to insult other listees at will and not be brought to book for it.Who do you know?

Rusty, please refrain from calling people Marxists.
As it's the season of goodwill, can we all play nicely please.
Tucker was an old windbag whose greatest contribution to political thought was popping his clogs this summer. Your best port of call for supporting your argument would be a successful society based on Marxist or Marxian principles. When you find one, let me know.
As for my licence to insult you, I think it's more based on your reputation than mine. As your political (and possibly literal) bedfellows have claimed that I never leave my home, it seems doubtful that I would know anybody, let alone be able to exert authority over them.
You mean that **** full of nasty additives etc etc
Yes thats more like it (note Shrimpero :raspberry:)
Noted - but the Lowenbrau this pompous old beero first sampled (in **** off steins (sp.)) was in Munich!
