Indeed, hence why all his goals have been in the league.

I've agreed he can have a glass of our success at the end of the season!

That makes me feel inadequate AndyT. As the old joke goes I measure mine by fingers. It takes four to hold mine but I pee on three. :'(

Right 'Ironshrimps' I've found our little natter. How poignant that it was after the Millwall away match in the FA Cup.

Our discussions start around post #78 and wind down around post #121. The key posts being #97 and #100.

Interestingly, Theo Robinson gets a mention in a post or two around that time.

We can have a minimum of 15 of each if you like. Which was my original prediction. 15 goals, plus 15 assists. Total 30!

It IS interesting to see Theo Robinson being spoken about so warmly back in November. Can't believe nobody mentioned Bill Garner among our great top scorers (or maybe they did - I only skimmed the pages).

By the way, you could have saved yourself the time. The BBC do it for you:

Sadly they don't quite agree on the assists, but still looks good to reach your target if he keeps fit.

Cheers 'Barling'.

I checked the club match highlights for each match we scored in, as I knew the BBC one was wrong and that he definitely had more than 7 assists and I was right! .. 9 is correct.

Gillingham (H) - Short pass to Macca to score from distance
Sheffield United (A) - Squared across for Macca to score a tap-in
Peterborough (H) - Cross for Wordy to chest down and score
Orient (H) - Pass to Fortune to score
MK Dons (A) - Pass through to Wordy to score. Will dummies it.
Shrewsbury (H) - Reverse pass for Macca to score.
Bury (A) - Cross for the Lone Ranger to score his second that day.
Bradford City (H) - Short pass for Will to score our opener
Scunthorpe (H) - Cross for Fortune to head home

AndyT - excellent work in reviving that old thread, which makes for great comic reading at the moment and also in managing to flush out the Ironshrimper. I thought perhaps he may have spontaneously combusted, or morphed into another posting personality, with the current lack of shot-shyness.

But, was he right about something...

... Is that a typo? You have said COX will score at least 15 goals and assist 15 more....are you smoking something.......I want some.....No way, and I think even the others may back me, will he hit 15...he is shot shy, big time...

...does this explain how you manage to wake up most mornings believing that you are the Southend manager? And have you been making your stuff available to certain players??

Seriously, what a signing Cox has turned out to be. Really has stuck two fingers up to the "another player who's past it" brigade on here (they know who they are). Love watching this guy play every week, too much class for this level.

Same can be said fot Ferdy and Fortune. You don't win anything with kids!

Don't want to spoil the party but.......Cox has scored in the last 6 home games and has had some quality performances.

I have been to the last 6 away games and we have struggled to hit the target and Cox does not show the same confidence even when showing for the ball. At home he is already pointing and demanding where he wants it but not so away from RH. Wordsworth has 2 sides to his game one at home and the other away, so lets hope Cox ends his away day doldrums on Tuesday night.

Obviously as much support as possible for the game on Tuesday night would be welcome .......... but perhaps you should stay at home ..............:whistling: :tease:

Yes - Cox's latest assist ................ route 1 football eh?

Reminded me of the old Sturrock, Corr and Blair times for that goal ................

I'd like to apologise, as we've had a few technical issues with the Cox-o-meter.

This should be fully restored and working again soon.

In the meantime, here's some music! :violin::guitar::piano::drummer::kev:
