firstly thanks to those who have shown me support...........cheers all.


secondly,

i have my own opinion on life and this country,this opinion will only change when i see cast iron facts which cannot be questioned.

thirdly,

any who disagree with my thoughts i have no problem with that whatsoever and indeed its good for decent debate as long as the debate is maintained to an adult level without any OF US going down the route of becoming personal ect.

finally please bear with my ignorance of this computer lark,i have little idea apart from typing and turning the sucker on,in future whenever i post stats/facts i shall also give the website/source.

i suggest we all play nicely.............................together.

I would say that's pretty good advice
I usually find myself in a small minority on any threads with a religious theme but I've always found that if you stand your ground and argue constructively, and accept people will have diametrically opposing views, then this board is often at its best when we're arguing about serious subjects

I've gone along with you on these, and I'd say me and MK are probably at fairly opposite ends of the spectrum on loads of things, yet are both perceived part of the this so called "clique". We get on fine.....mostly! ;) Least, I think we do!

However , debate is about enlightenening others , whilst getting ones point over, well it is to me anyway , If the person with opposing views comes up with supporting facts which disprove my thoughts , then I have learned something and I hope it would affect my opinion. To me facts are king and if i am unsure of something I will generally research it before posting , primarily to prevent being made to look a chump and also to support my point.
Debate should certainly not be stiffled on here, either by the use of cheap shots, or bland generalisations., but one has to be prepared to be questioned and also be prepared to support ones side of the argument with evidence.
political opinion is difficult, but the facts on which the opinion is based should be made available for all to form their own opinions
