The Big Society

The bit I liked is DC's comments,"its not a vote winner, but its a passion of mine"

If its not a vote winner then that means that the voters don't want it and I thought we were in something which at least pretended to be a democracy, not an Old Etonian version of Jim'll Fix it
 
No its the extreme from one polar opposite to the other . Why can't we have teh balance of a welfare system that helps those genuinely in need . Supplied by the rest of society who are given social mobility opportunities and teh chance to live tehir life as they can .

And before anyone say its a fantasy its not ... Its called Norway, and i can tell you they are both richer and have a better quality of live then most of us .

Norway - dull, haven't won any world cups or world wars....I'd rather live here.
