If we get the 1.5 mill we are holding for, I don't think its unreasonable for 500k of that to be invested back into the team to give us a good L1 squad & hold our own up there.

Not sure Ron will part with more than 200k if im honest though.....

Where do people think the cash is gonna go?

It won't be spent on players, it will go towards debts and some towards players wages. If people think Brown will be given a few hundred thousand to get some players in they will have another thing coming.

We will see very little of the cash invested into the team, forget 500k I think you're being optimistic with 200k. Most likely we will never see where the money goes.

i think it will go to Sainsbury and some hair colouring and extensions for Ron. The rest will be locked up in the war chest.

It will sink into the hole that is sufc finances. Ron's got a Bentley and a helicopter to maintain you know.

A little bit on a replacement keeper and wages for the three or four players Brown wants to bring in as long as they're cheap/on a free, and the rest towards finances as is the most likely destination for all of it.

I would instantly table a bid for Dan Bentley for half of what they paid us. That way we sign him and make some money! Why am I not in charge down there I do not know

I reckon it will disappear within a month without a trace...

It might allow us a couple of modest transfers fees much like Bolger's last season. However, I don't believe it will allow us to increase wages too much because we still have to be within budget.

That said, I'd spend the entire amount on a seriously good party.

I'd hope we put the funds towards running the club for a year or two. Clubs in the lower 2 divisions shouldn't be spending large sums of money on transfers or wages.

The last thing we need is to buy a player for £150k with a corresponding high salary, and then find the rest of the squad have the hump because they're not getting as much.

Far better to pay off some debts, and put ourselves in a healthier position with the bank, the taxman, and suppliers.

Would like to see a lot of it invested back into the academy to help provide the Dan Bentley's of the future.

. Exactly ... But most don't care what we pay them, sad I think... Keep the club healthy, far more important that crocked older Irish players, getting their last payday.
