That moment that makes a song great

Can't talk Metallica without mentioning this early highlight. At 5:20 when Kirk starts soloing, and then again at 6:13 when Lars starts playing double time and Kirk really lets rip. Proper legendary metal...

Superb choice.

Another of my favorites.

Marillion, Forgotten Sons

The game changer on this track kicks in around 5.37. When I saw them live doing this, I very nearly blubbed. Very uncool.

What's a great song to one person could be crap to another.

We all have different music tastes which is a good thing.

I bet most of what I like would be crap to most of you

"I would do almost anything to get back you back by my side"

You can hear the yearning and vulnerability in Robert Smith's voice here; just lovely.

Explodes at 0.00 and stops exploding when it ends. Love the lines 'I'm calm now, but I'm shaking'. I like to think this is what Rusty does for karaoke but I guess it's not.

Be interested to hear if this appeals to any Guns n Roses fans....

The old punk in me approved, the unenlightened 11 year old daughter told me to turn it down. A score of 8 from me and a blank, disapproving frown from the daughter. Can't win em all.

Uncle Leo and a few others will be able to tell you that 'Suspicious Minds' is my karaoke choice. And I flatter myself that it wasn't half bad.

I have only done karaoke a couple of times, not wise for someone who couldn't carry a song in a bucket. Got away with 'Green Green Grass of Home' but threats were made over 'American Pie' and I was smuggled out through the kitchen for safety reasons..........and blood stains are difficult to get out of carpets.

He's right you know. Just had a flashback to Rusty and my wife belting it out down The Spread. Amazing scenes.

Just for you Bretteangel. Their heyday I think.

I think the Russian Army were met to acting as security at this one but as the video shows, they didn't take their duties very seriously.

There was a million people at that concert, some of the best live video's i've seen where shot there Harvester of Sorrow sounds immense!

The Roxy Music track 'In every dream home, a heartache' has a big long build up and then you find out the subject of the song then it erupts with sound on the line
'I blew up your body.......and you blew my mind'

genius

shame Brian's son Otis is such a ****
