Coach
I just would like to say thanks to all involved in getting us back into the North Bank.
Wot a great feeling I got in there last night. It made me feel young again. Talking to the people around me (we were allgetting on a bit) they all felt the same. So thanks again chaps, and may we have it again next season where possible.

Agreed since we have been back in the North Bank football has been fun again, the sort of atmophere only experienced on away trips, last night was absolutely awsome!!! brought back so many memories of bygone days for this "old boy"

Do what ever it takes for next season to get back in there, with L2 football again away crowds will be small so there should be no reason why not, unless last nights "exuberance" upset the powers that be.

I had really fallen out of love with coming to Roots Hall this season but being back in the North was a massive part of really enjoying the experience again. That and the return of Freddy make it feel like my club again to a degree.

Yeah. I totally agree. You've done a great job getting it back and have created a superb old style atmosphere inside the hall. My lad and his mates (they're about 14 ish) absolutely love it. I started taking the kids from a young age (to support their local team) and you guys have helped take the boy to the next level. I daren't even mention going back to the Family Enclosure, now. Was I annoyed that he wanted to stand with his mates as close to the away support as possible last night, rather than with his dad and uncle ? ...not in the slightest !!!. Welcome to proper football supporting, son and thanks True Blue, Smiffy and co for making this possible.

So do you not think those who were trying to get across the barriers and caused the stewards no end of problems last night may have ruined the chance of keeping the North Bank ?

If so it would be a big shame as it does seem to bring more atmosphere to the game and actually makes the ground look fuller to !!

That so called Exuberance is what will get the North Bank closed.

It was ridiculous.

Luckily next season there wont be any away fans so it wont be an issue but if we have any big crowds in tehre I doubt we will get the same allocation.

It was a highly emotional, highly charged atmosphere last night and that was to be expected, it may have gone a bit too far on a couple of occasions but as far as I know, and was in there, it never got out of control like it could have done. If the club, like they have stated, want the crowd to create an atmosphere at the Hall, the North has to be open to us, and it their responsibility to "police " it and maintain segregation when it is needed.
The 99% of suppporters in there last night who did act responsibly and create the best atmosphere I can recall for many a day should not be punished for the actions of a few, and it was a few, and hopefully the club will see it that way.

Atmosphere was very good last night, and excellent in parts, I still think it could have been much better, but the atmosphere followed what was going on on the pitch. So the last 20 mins we roared , but we didn't roar for the whole game , lets not kid ourselves.

anyway despite what I have said above , I still believe that if we had had the North bank for the whole season we would have gone up . Having it for next year is a must as far as I am concerned

thanks very much for last night my son and me have no voices left!Cracking atmosphere, and my son is on the tv after harris scored with the camera zoomed in on him cheering and fist pumping ,such a shameabout the final result.

The segregation was poor last night I felt, it was fairly obvious to me there was gonna be some problems.

It was, we were far too close to them. Made for a good atmosphere but could have got nasty. The guy with the blue hate who got chucked in the first half. he was actually a southend fan even though most in the north bank thought he was a crewe fan. He got chucked out for reacting to crewe fans because they threw a handful of coins at him hitting him in the face.

First and foremost loved being in the North for this game again. No idea how the sound carried to the rest of the ground but was enjoyable being a part of a group of vocal fans who want to support their team.

I do agree with this though. It wasn't far from a fight from what I could see and although some of you may get enjoy this, pulling the netting back etc was, in my opinion, a bit stupid. If we continue to get so close to starting a fight in the North (I couldn't quite see what exactly was going on but it seemed both fans weren't far off) then I doubt we'll stay in the North for too long. Stewards had a tough, tough job yesterday.

I do love being back in the North, I just don't enjoy the 'big man' attitude that some fans take because they either are or want to come across game for a fight. It's not clever.

At the end of the day the stewarding was inedequate and so was the netting for a game like this.

If away fans come to roots hall start making cut throat jestures and coining the home support then there is going to be trouble plain and simple.

Has there been touble at all this season prior to that game?

There has been abit of verbal which has helped atmosphere and i hope that , that has come across.

There were no arrests as far as i know and no actual fights just handbags which happens at grounds around the country all season.
