I am sure that Graham Taylor was Bill Rubins 1st choice as Southend manager before they settled on Dave Smith .
 
Everyone writes that GT was a nice bloke and a gentleman...which im sure he was...RIP football man..

But .IMO..i did not like Watford,the town,fans,air..GT style ofplay,did not like or want him him to be Englands manager.I went 89?? to watch a game of cricket at WCCC,met a season ticket fan of Villa? who told me the fans did not like him and wanted him out.
When i use to see him smile..for Watford or England..loved to have punched him on the nose:omg:
But he done well for Watford, and was a good honest bloke..RIP
