Tesco Beer Policy

I was not allowed to buy 4 cans of Fosters in Tescos last night because I had my son with me and he is only 31 !

Terrible.

that happened to me once when i had my little sister with me and i was getting some booze, she was 17 and they wouldn't serve me, even though i was 21 and had i.d

While Tesco are on their high horse how about not selling chicken nuggets, potato waffles, crisps and full fat cola to adults when accompanied by obese children?

This happened to me in the US as well. They wouldn't sell me booze in WalMart because my 26 year old missus didn't have ID. At first, I felt like a bit of a lord - they think I might be with someone who's under 21. But then I realised they might think I was a nonce, which didn't feel so good.

i couldn't get served in LA at 34 cos i didn't have my passport, they wouldn't accept my EU driving license either.

Is it a good time to say it's political correctness gone mad?

Either that or shop at an offie?

Off license all the way, when my 9 year old goes up to our local to buy fags, they have no problem giving her a bottle of meths for me.
When will the big supermarkets learn that it's local service that counts?

When will any of the powers that be in this country realise that we neither NEED nor WANT a nanny state?

They should be putting their own house(s) in order first before deciding what we may eat or drink.

Tesco aren't the only company that doesn't sell alcoholic beverages to persons over the age of 18 accompanied with someone under the age of 18 or who look under the age of 21 without any on them i.d. I think most supermarkets are starting to stop it as they're a cunch of bunts!

However i fully understand how ****ing annoying it is as me, richie, stoyan and co went to asda to by some drink however as they were with me they wern't alowed to by it as i wasn't 18 even though they were all 21+ and all had i.d. on them. However i was in sainsbury's with mummy the other month and she bought a bottle of wine no questions asked so i think it's a load of **** tbh!!!!

I'd definitely sell a child for a crate of beer. Only Kronenbourg though of the new Stella 4, none of that cheap Carling *****.

Where do they draw the line? If I was to go into Tesco's with one of my little one's sitting in the trolley to buy a crate of beer would they say no as my kids are with me? I assuming not, but where is the line drawn...when they're 12, 13, 14...?

Absolutely ridiculous!
