Tes has got the strop

Thank you, in fairness the pysc part of my degree looks specifically at sport (being a sports science degree) but it just infuriates me when people make stupid comments with big generalisation.
Fair enough one angry hear of the moment post but Tweedy has kept this up and it is doing my nut in.

I think it's doing everybody's nut in...

there goes another sweeping generalisation!

One thing no one has mentioned Bramble booked this trip knowing it would clash with the play offs....so it didn't cross his "mind" we might be in them...

By the same token, Maher is upset about missing being best man at his brother's wedding. I think the fact that he even mentioned it means he is not committed to the cause. I think we should sack him on the spot. There's no room in our team for players with a life away from football.

To be fair, missing your brothers wedding as best man has got to be quite upsetting because it's a big day for everyone in the Maher family. I presume Maher has just got on with it because he wants promotion as much as anyone else. Regarding Tes, I think Tilly needs to make a decision at the end of the season, and I feel it's bye bye Tes.

I'm not a huge Maher fan, but missing his brothers wedding should give him the extra motivation and determination to ensure we get promoted and that Captain Kev turns out an excellent performance.

i thought judging by Tilly s comments when he let Tes go to Cambridge that it was goodbye !

Thats why I'm so surprised to see him back. Also heard Gower offered to take Tes's place in Vegas

Obviously had supreme confidence in the team to get automatic promotion. Get rid of those doubters who left their diary free I say!

Here is a list of all the players that have been released this year:

I notice Luke Rodgers is available...........

11/05/2005 Andy (Eng) MF Coventry City (Eng)

Oh yeah, Andy. You know whatsisname. Andy, you know him. Dave's mate. Used to go out with Lisa.

Maybe we could sign Abdul Sall aswell, he is probably the worst defender I have ever seen at Roots Hall!

If people are questioning God's attitude, Tes knows what they would think of Rodgers' attitude.

Plus his scoring record is hardly enviable this year.

There are some really surprising ones on that list...

*Phil Mulryne, Norwich (thought he'd had an OK season...?)
*John Oster, Burnley (from a £1.5m transfer... to released as a free agent)
*Zema Abbey, Torquay (from great hope at Cambridge, to released by Torquay...!)
*Armand One, Partick (the Jags appear to have got rid of their whole squad following their relegation. Again, I remember One at Cambridge "There's only one One!")
*Andrejs Stolcers, Yeovil (blimey, thought he was their Baltic superstar... eek, not good enough for League One, obviously!)
*Jamie Cureton, QPR (thought he was quite good)
*Ashley Ward, Sheffield Utd (thought he was at Bradford? Getting on a bit, I guess)
*Patrick Kluivert, Newcastle (huh?  Did I miss him being released?!)
*Deon Burton & John Salako, Brentford (the Bees strike-force deemed surplus to requirements?!  Maybe their budget simply doesn't permit them to be kept!)
*Erm, Nottingham Forest generally, in fact.  Good grief - it looks like they've been operating a unilateral pension scheme for footballers!!  All the following have been released by Forest:

- John Lukic (huh?! Did he bring his zimmer whilst playing for Forest?!)
- Andy Impey
- Eoin Jess

Just a comment on Zema Abbey. I believe he was very highly rated a few years ago but struggled, seemingly, with his fitness and attitude after an injury. Put in some truly terrible performances for them where he may as well not have been on the pitch but also scored a couple.

Would be a massive gamble for anyone in the football league I feel.

Not by my Cambridge supporting mate. He always thought Abbey was sh*te, and couldn't believe it when Norwich paid a fair wedge to take Abbey off Cambridge's hands.

"Like Trevor Benjamin, only without the talent, size or control" was, I think the assessment...
