Tes has got the strop

Tweedy

First XI
Read in the Mark Goweer colum in the echo that Tes has got the 'ump cos he booked a holiday in vegas but got recalled by us, this says to me that him having a **** up and a good old gamble means more to him than being thrown a lifeline to salvage his career and help the team that plucked him from the crap of non league try and win a place in league 1 next season. Tilly if thats Brambles attitude tell him to go to vegas and stay there!

Bramble.............hump

NEVER

well it wouldnt surprise me, I work with a guy whos a cambridge season ticket holder and he ssaid that Bramble had told cambridge that he was better than the conference and league 2 and that he wants to play for a 'big club' and wouldnt play for the blues next season.

I'm sure Mark Gower is exactly the model professional that Tes Bramble aspires to.......

I work with a guy whose dad works at Cambridge and said that Tes was great whilst he was there. He said that Tes was sad that he couldn't stop Cambridge from being relegated, but was looking forward to going back to Southend to help in any way that he could to get them promoted after the loyalty that they have shown him.

Isn't it funny how easily one post can sway your opinion?

any player can bull sh*t to people about how they feel bad for a teams failure but i garuntee behind all these false pretences no player gives a damn about their team only their wages. in a way its like any job, people go to work to earn money to keep a roof over their heads rather than working cos they love their job

Excellent, so we've decided Tes hates playing for us and plays for his pay cheque while believing he is much better than the club all because he was annoyed at missing out on a potentially once in a lifetime trip to Vegas.

Not to mention the suggestion that he cares much more for gambling and binge drinking than playing football.

This country.

vegas or career saving match?

i know what i would choose, so what if he spent a lot of money on a ticket to vegas, if i was him i would try my best to play good football and come out of the shadow of titus. That would **** me off if i spent my whole career being told that my brother is in the prem and im in league 2-tes do something about it and then you will be spoken about in the same way as your brother, your destiny is in your own hands no one can do it for you.

The fact that he had a trip booked for Las Vegas is completely detached from his commitment level to Southend United, surely!

Tes has had to cancel what sounds to be a fantastic holiday. It doesn't matter what the reason for it is, he's just annoyed that he's had to cancel the holiday, surely.

What possible evidence can you give for the unqualified statements about his commitment levels?

Well unless I am very, very, very much mistaken, he played in the first leg playoff, and missed the second through injury. Kinda answers your question..

the fact that he has under achieved for the las two seasons speaks volumes, dudfield and gray must have been so ****ed off that bramble took either 1 of their places in the 1st leg, tilson shipped him out on loan cos he didnt want him and then brings him back to replace the 2nd of our potent strikeforce, if memory serves me right freddy has never played up front with tes? i may be wrong

Tes came straight back into the team because, unlike Gray and Dudfield, he'd actually been playing well in recent weeks.

I imagine that any comment Gower made in a local paper like that would've been tongue in cheek. He's not going to start slagging off team mates in the press is he!?

Tes did seem to have a geniune affection for the Club and the fans when I spoke to him the other week.

He could have quite easily ignored me at Dukes but took the time to talk to me. I get the feeling he wants to be at the Club, but wants to play regularly and I don't see the two coming together.

His a nice guy, easy to talk to and answered all my questions honestly, he is a man of his word, he said we'd beat Northampton and we did. It would be a shame to see him leave, if thats gonna be the case, but best of luck to the fella.

Lets try and keep a sense of reality here, Gower's comments, where no doubt, in jest like most of the stuff he says in his columns and like Drewenaldo and Dudder's said in the LDV Final programmes about their team mates. It shows that they get on well.

Its good that Tweedy thinks every player plays just for his paycheck and not for his club.
Do you really think Steven Gerrard stayed at Liverpool this season for a paycheck because i certainly don't.
Do you really think Bents and Barrett don't give a damn about the club and only play for their paycheck.
Do you really think Ryan Giggs has played for Man Utd all his carear for a paycheck because i certainly think he could have more then doubled his wages in Italy.
Intrinsic motivatoin (wanting to play and win) and extrinsic motivation (playing for money) are very different but very big parts of football but i will tell you one thing, it has been proved that intrinsicly motivated teams get better results and look where we are this season.
If by any chance you do become a mind reader and confirm what you think about ALL footballers but until you do please shut the **** up and stop talking bull.

Some of you lot make me die..

The fella is a pro footballer yes but he is also a human being for christs sake. He probably forked out $1500 for his trip and is going to be a bit cheesed off because he is not on 20K like some of the overpaid premier league players.

I would put money on it that what Gower wrote in the Echo was tongue in cheek. I am sure if Bramble has been 100 per cent serious about being annoyed about having to play a big game at Cardiff, he would not print it in the bloody echo.

If someone at your work just paid for a holiday and then a business trip came up, i am sure most of you would be on the wind up and even if it was a business trip too the Seychelles, you would have a little whinge.

Get in the real world please, its laughable what some of you are saying and they are all human beings, even if some of them act like idiots at times.

For what its worth, i think Bramble does care about the club and has always been a good squad player for us playing all over the shop. I think his style is sometimes perceived at being lazy when he is just naturally laid back.

And i will always remember that Hartlepool goal

Perfectly put, Yorkshire Bambi.

Did I read somewhere that Tweedy claims that he is a Medical Student? Obviously not going to pass his Psychology module, then.....
