I find it alarming that the assumption is that because he converted to Islam he had been brainwashed. He may well have been a little more susceptable to the powers of persusion and emotional rhetoric, due to his poor intellect but considering a large number of the far right in this country are recruited in the same way I hardly think that is brain washing.

I assume he was trying to Kill in the name of God, So was Peter Sutcliffe.

The Previous thread referred to started about Foreigners coming over here and blowing people up, It was questioned how many foreign nationals had bombed britain since the war and it degenerated from there.

That was a reference to the previous thread where it was pointed out that Christains had bombed Britain although it was the IRA (and as such Catholics)

With reference to Sutcliffe - that was a fabrication invented to support a 'not guilty by reason of insanity' defence. He didn't mention it in his first confession.
