Ten Artists .. Ten Tracks

It was the Floyd number I didn't like on Canvey's list.
I don't have an ipod.My personal10 would consist mainly of Blues/Jazz/County/folk numbers but if I limited it to pop, it would look something like Canvey's and Suffolk Shrimper's with a bit of Dylan,Billy Bragg,Feelgood and Pulp and some Aretha in there.Let me think about it.I 'm happy to wait for Shrimpero to post his 10 first.:net:
ps I meant Suffolkshrimper not Surrey.

You don`t need an Ipod to participate - though your choices would be bloody jazz so probably a 0/10 :raspberry:

From my PC set to shuffle ...

Tool - Roseta Stoned
The Hollies - Sorry Suzanne
Sheryl Crow - We Do What We Do
The Verve - Velvet Morning
Sleeper - Sale Of The Century

The Colours Between is fronted by our very own Stereoscene.

I suppose i could let you stick a few tracks on a disc and in the post :winking:

Mind you the last time i backed down after an assault by you was to watch Slumdog Millionaire and that was utter utter bilge

Agreed, much better Kay .. 6 and 3 halves from me
Hmmm....can I hazard a guess that it was the most up to date one that scored nothing with you? I'm guessing you scored Rifles a whole 1?! Halves, well, I'm guessing Ricky Valens, Godley and Creme but not sure on the other?

I guess it's an age thing, but Excerpt is just a classic 60s song....bet you'd recognise it

And Tangled just has one of the best intros... plus a great video - they actually appealed for fans to go along and be in it, so most of those you see are ordinary fans!

*edit* never had that happen before, wouldn't let me post two videos within same post!

I recognise the chorus to Grocer Jack .. not sure thats enough to give a half though, The Rifles track i like though so that gets the full point from me

Fair enough, there's some fantastic 60s music and I guess if, like me, you grew up listening to it on the radio it left quite an impression back then that still holds good today. Still I'm quite pleased with 6 and 3 halves!

Quick edit .. i'm not sure where my like of 60s music comes from, not from home as my dads stuff was 50s Rock n Roll like Eddie Cochran and Duane Eddy or 70s rock like ELO and Dire Straits early stuff .. i also nicked his vinyl copy of Dark Side Of The Moon in about 1983 and played it to death

Stonking list - and seems an appropriate time for me to join in...

iPhone to shuffle and the first ten I got were;

1) Five Finger Death Punch: Burn it Down
2) Bring me the Horizon: Traitors Never Play Hangman
3) Imicus: The Butterfly Effect
4) Lostprophets: The Fake Sound of Progress
5) Linkin Park: Papercut
6) Alice in Chains: Dirt
7) Machine Head: Locust
8) The Cribs: I'm a Realist
9) Down: Beautifully Depressed
10) Nickleback: How You Remind me

Hmm, not too bad - could definitely do better. Judging by most of the lists that are up, I doubt there's much chance many of the bands on mine will be recognised by most.
