Id stick with the same team to start. Mohsni and Sampson did well but this was against a tiring defence. Some players look better when making an impact off the bench.
I too was concerned by our defending at times, including the silly amount of free kicks we gave away in dangerous free kick areas which we almost got punished for. With the fixture list getting quite congested I wouldnt be surprised to see Luggy try and get a cb, maybe on loan. He has enquired about Mcardle twice but been rebuffed so may look elsewhere. Barker has been nowhere near his best and Phillips has been far the better of the two.

I reckon drop Gilbert for continuously hoofing the ball down the line and giving the ball away, stick barker left back and put MOSHNI back where he belongs

Moshni has made far more of an impact in this campaign when not playing as centre half. With his ability to self implode I dont see that he is ideal material to be in the heart of our defence.

I dont thihnk Luggy will be dropping Barker anytime soon and not sure who Moshni or a new centre half would replace. The only option would be Barker to left back, but dont think he will do that.

I am going to this one ... expecting a cracking top of the table clash

After seeing a us take a 1000 plus last Saturday surely we be taking 700-1200 to this match ??

One Team in Essex

SOUTHEND UNITED FC:Worthy:

I honestly wouldn't change the team from the one that has started the two previous games. Benyon from what I believe had been carrying a knock all of last week, and might explain why his performance at Northampton was not quite there. He has impressed me in the other games I have seen him and feel it is only a matter of time before he starts scoring.

What a nice change it is to have these decisions to make. Sampson showed class above what we have seen, but I feel he should play as an impact sub in the next game, if his performance is as good as the cameo he had at the weekend, then perhaps start him in the game after.

Mohsni should not start! He seems to be far more effective when teams are tired.. Yet again what an option to have on the bench.

Keep the team the same and deploy exactly the same tactics of bringing on Moshni and Sampson as super subs

Keep the team the same, the only change that could be considered is Sampson for Benyon, but I think it should stay the same for saturday.

Super sub is the ideal role for Bilel, not enough time to get in trouble but he can change the game and is a handful for tiring defences.
