In all respect, I think there's a reason why the team practically picks itself.
Were on a bad run, we've had injuries and not much luck but I have faith in Tilly and the team he picks if we get a few breaks and a consistent line-up

Also from that season, the BIGGEST home attendance was v Orient - 6700

The smallest league crowd was 3250 ( v Mansfield)

We finished 18th in what is now league 2 with Barry Conlon as leading scorer (7 goals).

It's amazing how short people's memories are!

all them palyers are legends...

atleast it was a chalenge and exciting back then and felt more homely and more "cosey" watching the games, now it just seems un enjoyable and not exciting.

10years ago we was never expected to do well but now players jus play for the money and the loan players are here jus to try find a better club and get games.

ten years ago the players we had were southend united players, not some players that are loan players from teams of the same league that are either 2nd team or youth.

i used to love watching us play when we was in the old first division and played in the anglo itialin cup, even the two season we went down succesfully. we stlll had a few games where we won socirng 4 or 5 goals.

now its just boring and pointless.

yeh we won 3-2 today but still watching southend seems like a chore now not enjoyable wat so ever, plus the players dont give a **** aobut the fans or the club aslong as they are getting paid. theres no heart in it, if there was we would all have our players signed up for atleast another 2 seasons. look at barnard he dnt give a **** about the club or the fans, he jus wants more money and play for a better team, atleast TRVEOR FITZPATRICK and co. loved playing for southend i remember talking to adrian clarke, he loved southend so much and put in so much effort , yeh 10 years ago or so wasnt the best times but atleast the players played for the club they loved and was contracted for.

we are doomed, if we still exist next season we are going to be lucky to win a game. the swuad is going to be raped of all our "star players" which we hardly have any of.

plus signing the youth team is full of "ghetto kids" thats make silly videos of gun crime on youtube.

i pitty myself and the supporters that pay good money to watch this week in week out.
