Rattus Norvegicus

Dullard ①
I've seen some terrible games at Hartlepool. A tonking when Newman was manager for instance and a 5-1 loss as well and then the 3-0 loss a few seasons ago.

But I expect a better game tomorrow.

Bentley in goal

Coker, Phillips, Prosser, White in defence

Atkinson, Laird, Timlin & Straker in midfield

Corr and Eastwood up front

Subs: Smith, Reid, Cowan, Clifford, Leonard, Auger, Payne

Weather suggests that it should be a warm but not tooo hot day as well - ideal for playing footie perhaps?

I remember one of the seasons Tilson was in charge and we won by 1 goal, think it was 1-2, and it was around christmas time. Flahavan I think saved a penalty in the last minute ensuring we won that evening.

Errrrhhh ......... we have lost the last 3 games played at the Victoria ground ...................:'(

Mark Tinkler - good player I thought.

Yes but we won the last four home games. Plus we haven't even played them at this level for 23 years.

ps Tinkler - journeyman Northerner. Forgettable.

Team picks itself at the moment; & until Timlin and Hurst get match fit I don't expect much change from the line ups suggested.

Still not much cover for injuries at the back or changes at the attacking end.

A few more unlucky Bennett incidents and we will be hard pushed to be competitive anywhere over the pitch.

If laird is injured then timlin to slot straight in and that's the only change from Saturday for me.

Bentley
White Phillips Prosser Coker
Atkinson Laird Leonard Timlin
Corr Reid

Almost the same as YB's, just Straker and Clifford to start ahead of Timlin and Laird (who I think is still injured)

Bentley
White Phillips Prosser Coker
Atkinson Clifford Leonard Straker
Corr Reid

I wonder if he'll put 5 across the middle away from home?

Lennon, Laird, Clifford in the centre.

and Corr on his own.

First visit for us to Hartlepool, looking forward to it
