Too much exposure to talksport and you'll lose interest in sport (and life as well, mind).

It almost makes 6-0-6 seem bearable.

Southend fan here,
I know you are probably just trying to get a reaction, sell tickets for your show and feel good about West Ham heading for midtable mediocrity in the Prem again this year, but I'm going to react because in all honesty you truly are a prat and deserve to be told so,
Unfortunately it is the small-minded people like yourselves that are creating a massive divide between the top of the game and the rest,
Without clubs like ours the game would die,
Plus why is it you feel the need to pick on a League One side rather than a fellow Premier League rival - only bullies who know there are bigger kids than them in their playground pick on the smaller ones,
Check your facts before stating there are no Southend fans in Southend - if you'd been in the town in recent years you'd remember the outcry there was when someone opened a West Ham shop - that's long gone,
Southend United is developing as a football club for the better, with plans for a new stadium hopefully about to be approved by the secretary of state which would regenerate a poor area of our town for the better with shops and homes, as well as a magnificent new ground,
Let's just hope the listeners realise that what you spout is utter tosh,

Gotta admit I used to listen to this on the way to and from work but it annoyed me too much. Presenters trying to be controversial to get a response to their (No doubt Premium Rate) phone in, adverts all the time. Their lack of lower league knowledge is diabolical and when they do try its patronising. Alvin Martin actually comes across quite well generally but he has no idea on the lower leagues and it annoys me that with him taking such little interest in them why he bothered to try to manage us....

My main disappointment is that Ronnie Irani is on there now, and he is a bit of a cricketing hero of mine!

I used to listen to Talksport in the mornings religiously, but since Porky Parry left the Breakfast Show, it's gone to pieces. Brazil's occasional moments of inadvertent comedy genius are just not enough to cover up the wretchedness of the show in its current state. As with number11, I want to like Irani for his performances for Essex, but I just can't. I have made my feelings on Jon Gaunt clear elsewhere (basically, I think he's a ****). However, I do think the H&J show is almost always worth listening to, and Drive is OK now Wrighty has replaced that idiot Micky Quinn. I also love Terry Christian's absolutely shameless bias on The Final Whistle. It's annoyingly brilliant.

I was going to say actually that Hawksby and Jacobs are very good in my opinion. They used to be on in the evening when driving home from work but beleive they are now on day time so I never hear them. Think they were the originators behind the Fantasy Football show from the mid 90's (when it was first on that show was a classic, forget the lame efforts they have had of resurecting it on ITV).

Legend in his own lunchtime is Gaunt. The guys a total @@@@. Good radio but a total t@@t. Drive time with Ian Wright is very funny. Also As someone else stated Terry Christian is a must listen. But the best Presenter by an old fashion mile has to be James Whale.10pm Sun - Thurs.
