6 hours between waiting times for plane, bus etc....although cycling sounds like a fun idea i think i'll stick to ryanair :)

Could even be you but there's one guy who lives in Southsea nearish the Eastfield Arms who supports Southend. Apart from almost falling off my bike when I first saw him, I made no big attempt to acknowledge and never saw him again!

Takes a long time from Pompey, I'm surprised you have the resolve. Then again, when I was there, we were in the Wignall revolution and that was enough to keep anyone away.

Haha well I do live in Southsea so it could have been me I suppose. Can't say as I know where the Eastfield Arms is though! I have to say the journey is made easier on the odd times that I travel with soton blue and southampton shrimper!

North-ish Southsea towards Fratton on Prince Albert Road. Nice little pub - surprisingly friendly for a 'friendly local'!

Sadly no meat to be won in a raffle as is commonplace just about everywhere else

i would just like to say that southend ticket office are f***ing useless.

being a uni student i try to go to as many games as possible but dont have a season card, although for yesterdays game i borrowed my cousins season card as he is on holiday (of which he has been in the same seat for the last 6/7 years). to my suprise when i got there yesterday, although the season card worked for him on the first day of the season, yesterday i had to have to ticket taken off of me and given a ridiculous piece of paper to be able to claim his new one this wednesday. I then got up to the seat (which i already metioned he has had for the last 6/7 years) and not only was there someone sittin in that seat but they have sold another season card for the SAME seat.
after talking to a steward who told me to sit at the back, (u ever sat at the back in the south upper, cant see a thing) i demanded to talk to a supervisor who fobbed me off and told me to just sit at the back. So i had gone from second row of the southe upper, one of the best seats in the ground, to the back row with the big blue beam and massive speakers covering the goal.
now tell me how can someone have a season ticket in a seat for 7 years and then renew it (its all paid for and everything) and southend still manage to sell the season card onto another person?!?!?!?!?!?!
now i was a season ticket holder the season before these season cards come in and never had any problems and talking to people that have them they seem to be a complete waste of space. Every start of a new season they seem never to work, then they take them off u and make YOU go and pick them up. no wonder they have sold so many season cards coz they are seelling the same seats twice!!!!!!!!!!!!
