If this has happened it will be one of the biggest PR **** ups the club has made in recent years.
That is true Paul

Well that's b******s for a start...

Does everyone honestly think the Echo will have been 'banned' on a whim? For absolutely no reason? Without discussions between the two first, after something occurring which the club didnt like possibly for good reason?

1) The club is not a dictatorship, thats b******s and frankly a naive and irresponsible thing to say. By that logic every company, including the Echo, is too as they all have only one chief executive. Also every school, with one headmaster etc etc etc

2) The club might be perfectly justified in taking whatever action they may or may not have taken - we dont know

3) Both sides will realise exactly how bad this would be for both of them - they are hardly only likely to realise by reading whats written on here.

4) This will probably be resolved fairly quickly

I know its been a slow news day, but get real people for goodness sake

It did indeed, and richly deserved in my book. I swear to this day that Southwood was a Borient/West Ham/Col U* fan. At best he was a miserable old git, at worst ....

* delete as appropriate (although it wouldn't surprise me if he was a fan of all 3

Lets take a step back a bit shall we? I've read all the posts and can fully understand why some people are more than a little concerned about this but without knowing all the in's and outs and the reasons behind the clubs decision it is perhaps a tad rash to make statements about dictatorships/press leaks and such like.

I have learnt from experience not to make conclusions about certain posts and stories on here. Thus until an official statement is made by the club or the paper (or both) i'll keep well and truly stchum.

Wait for the official reasoning before assuming anything

What's the source for this exactly? A lack of information in today's Echo is hardly compelling

My source is one of the best. But not the local press. Trust me on this.

Perhaps that's why it's called "Echo" rather than "News"?
