You know, I don't rate that either. Obviously ground breaking in its day, but I much prefer Rubber Soul or Revolver.

Revolver was great to........rubber soul with a revolver sounds like some punk kid (supporting the Jam);) in trainers with a gun

Revolver and Rubber Soul were two of the Beatles' best albums.

Revolver track 'Taxman' was clearly the influence for the riff in the Jam's 'Start!'

Ladies and Gentlemen I give you
The Beatles Christmas hit

By DORA BRYAN

Christmas come but once a year, they're really all the same.
I never know just what I want.
It really is a shame.
Yesterday I saw something that is my pride and joy.
All I want for Christmas is a real live little boy.

All I want for Christmas is a Beatle.
Not a teddy bear, just a Beatle.
I told mum nothing else would do.
There are four, so she can have one too.
I don't care which ever one she gets me.
Ringo, Paul, John, George, they're all the same.
I can't wait for Christmas day to come
'Cause all I want for Christmas is a Beatle.

There's nothing else I really want for Christmas.
So mama please help me get my wish.
Don't tell Dad 'cause I don't think he'll agree
To a Beatle hanging on our Christmas tree.
But if I know I'm really gonna have one,
Then I'll know my life will be complete.
I can't wait for Christmas day to come
'Cause all I want for Christmas is a Beatle.

All the girls are going to love me.
When I introduce him as my Christmas toy.
I can't wait for Christmas day to come
'Cause all I want for Christmas is a Beatle!

That is the equivalent of Hyacinth Bucket saying she has a soft spot for Pete Doherty, and absolute credibility Killer

A clash of the titans this....I absolutely love The Clash with a passion (maybe not a passion to match Firestorm, but a passion nonetheless).

However I love The Clash largely because of a love for music which started with a pile of old Beatles records. So it's The Fab Four all the way for me.

The greatest band to ever grace the planet against a ropey old punk band who barely made a decent single, never mind a whole album. Strummer & Jones vs Lennon & McCartney = no contest, The Beatles all the way.

Jeez, I go out for the evening and the 'zone gets innudated with a load of pseudo scousers.....

another thing about the beatles...why is it that EVERYONE in liverpool says they grew up in the same street as them ?

We were up there a couple of years back, did the beatles museum in Albert dock ( 2 hours looking at the bits pre Sgt Peppers then 10 minutes to get out one the pretensious stuff appeared) and a bird in a nearby cafe did the my Sister went out with Paul bit (whilst she was dating Billy Fury !!) and all the boys used to come round her house. They said that her Mum was like an Auntie and they dedicated their first single to her....She then proceded to get the name of the first single wrong !
