I'm not particularly a fan of The Verve...but Pink Floyd is just sad old hippy music....so The Verve for me on this one.
 
Did they? A Northern Soul is patchy with some great tracks (History), while the 1st one is toilet.

I must be in the minority that thinks Urban Hymns is the Verve's patchy album! Think Storm In Heaven and Northern Soul are both cracking albums so Verve get my vote here. Besides which, Verve were one of the first bands I ever saw live (93 I think?) where as I would rather watch I'm a Celebrity... than watch Pink Floyd!

Mind you... Ashcroft as a solo artist was ****e... almost enough for me to change my vote but then I remebered Gilmour :guns:
