Very harsh if you watch it again. The first shot was just out of his reach, and the 2nd was an open goal.Bit harsh I suppose but I think our keeper should of done better for their goal
Hayes can’t pick it up. He’d need a touch. Gus did the right thing. No one challenged for it was the real problemVery harsh if you watch it again. The first shot was just out of his reach, and the 2nd was an open goal.
The thing to watch is Gus's throw in, not only straight to their player, but he had a clear path to throw it back to Hayes, for 3 points guaranteed.
He can still dribble a bit with it, and then pass to a team mate, then receive it back, all wasting seconds. He can even kick it out of play in the opposition corner.Hayes can’t pick it up. He’d need a touch. Gus did the right thing. No one challenged for it was the real problem
Or get closed down and stumble over itHe can still dribble a bit with it, and then pass to a team mate, then receive it back, all wasting seconds. He can even kick it out of play in the opposition corner.

I did wonder why he went for the long, attacking throwVery harsh if you watch it again. The first shot was just out of his reach, and the 2nd was an open goal.

I said so too on the post-match thread, and in some detail. Clueless something-or-other. After all, you couldn't call it defending!Didn’t seem like Bridge was really bothered about their goal to me. Either in effort or attitude.
Not sure about that.Mmmmm only got to look at the players reaction to see they thought the keeper was to blame , did seem a fairly lame effort and seemed to bobble along before hitting no the post
No, but if the throw is as flat as GSM can make it, it will be along the floor; either one touch and kick, or a kick anywhere!Hayes can’t pick it up. He’d need a touch. Gus did the right thing. No one challenged for it was the real problem
But a poor touch and he’s closed down and it’s 1-1. It’s unlikely, but IMO less likely than a throw up the line to end up as a goal with 15 seconds to go.No, but if the throw is as flat as GSM can make it, it will be along the floor; either one touch and kick, or a kick anywhere!
It would only be a corner if it went past him and into the goal!
