£7 really isnt that bad. Food at venues is always ludicrously overpriced.

If its good food i think more people would do it to support the club rather then buying outside the game.
I agree, I’d prefer to pay £7 for a decent burger, than £5 for the rancid current offering that hasn’t changed, and I haven’t touched, for probably 20 years plus. Even the smell of them makes me feel sick, food is supposed to smell appetising!

For an additional £2, if it's a burger worth getting using proper meat then I'd go out of my way to get it likely pre game.

Valid points raised regarding hygiene. Facilities need to improve, as visually the cooking area needs a lot of work in the south east corner. I wasn't even aware the price of a burger had shot up to £5.50, that's actually a joke for the burgers they offer.

Service is also a factor - no point investing in a quality product if it cant be accessed by the end user. The queues at half time, I don't even bother getting a tea. Took a partner there and she got a coke that she commented wasn't even cold. Whether that's to do with space I don't know but also a point that should be worked on. I'd rather give the club my money than the corner shop at the BP.

Great to see engagement with fans, little disappointed with the reaction above.

Quality, hygiene, efficiency, value. You could almost ignore the first if the other 3 criteria were met.

I think the queue at the fish and chip shop each match day shows what people would be happy with. You don't need a gourmet burger or £7 just sell some basic chips for a couple of quid and go from there.

This is the same in East Greens/Black. They hand out a room temperature 'cold' drink every time, I have to ask for a cold one and they then get it out of the fridge.

Guessing they always feel under time pressure with queues but got to be a way to make the coldest drinks the fastest accessible for the staff.

What seems clear from this thread and others is you are always going to have a decent % of fans who are unhappy in one way or another whether that is performance, Maher, food etc.

I dont see the issue with charging £1 or so extra for a much better quality burger and I imagine most of those who are unhappy with the extra charge probably havent bought food in the stadium for years. Most stadiums food prices are more expensive that outside retailers such as pubs etc however is £7 much more for a burger than the likes of Burger King for example.

From what I have heard alot of the fans who got one of these new burgers the other day actually really liked them and didnt have a bad thing to say about it. On the other hand the £5 burgers we used to have were horrendous. I dont see the issue here.

I haven't bought food in the stadium for years because the smell walking past literally makes me feel sick. No problem paying a premium price for a premium product, but upgrade the facilities first.

You are always going to pay a bit of a premium for the food inside the ground, I wouldn’t expect anything different.

But the quality has to match the price. No chance I’m paying £5 for a crappy, thin piece of meat in the middle of a cheap and slightly tough burger bun.

I’d happily pay a couple of quid more for a decent burger.

You don't have to charge a premium, if you charge slightly less you would encourage more people to buy inside the ground instead of outside. It's not an all day concert you have people in there for a couple of hours and I don't care how good a £7 burger is, I wouldn't pay for it when I could get a full meal at the chip shop that is less than five minutes away.

Well it’s obviously about striking a happy medium isn’t it? Not everyone wants to stop off somewhere else before or after the game when they can get something to eat inside the venue.

I haven’t eaten at the ground in decades but from what I can gather it’s £5 for a burger? Another couple of quid on top for something of superior quality doesn’t seem like too much of a stretch to me.
