Don't get your hopes up it is synthetic cream.

Proper cream cakes from a decent baker, now thats a different story.

Whilst in Cornwall we visited a tea room in Boscastle , who did these wonderful things they called clams , two pieces of butter shortbread set at 45 degrees with Clotted cream and fresh red berries. Absolutely gorgeous.....

Synthetic it may be, but it still tastes really nice!
Having said that I completely agree with you - cakes from a bakery are nicer AND cheaper!
