Official Match Thread SUFC vs Port Vale

3 very welcome points but the overall display did nothing for me at all. Unconvincing in all areas other than Philips and Clohesy
Unconvincing? Mate, we strolled it and could of racked up a cricket score, if we didn't take our foot off the gas for the last half hour. We won 3-0 without rarely getting out of first gear. It was that easy.

With the hangover I had today the nice stroll in the park victory was very welcome

I still thought we were a bit unconvincing with the ball but it was good to see us trying to work it without the direct ball.. Benyon looked good again, and Dickinson on this form is brilliant. Martin probably needs a few games to get sharp, and the back four looked much much better. Timlin was everywhere today - inspired by his signing.

Good shape as well today but lets face it Port Vale were poor. Puts Dagenhams performance into perspective really. Interesting to see Parkinson won MOM for League 2. Maybe puts our Bradford result into a little perspective also.

Home games against the other top three before end of season so really it is all in our hands

Up the blues

Good result overall. Also good IMO that Crawley and Swindon both won their F.A cup games. Can't hurt us with them having to play more games, whereas we just have the league to contend with.
