Official Match Thread SUFC vs Port Vale

jamesmut2000

Director
Southend: Morris, Clohessy, Gilbert, Hall, Kalala, Timlin, Martin, Phillips, Dickinson, Barker, Benyon.

Subs: Mohsni, Grant, Harris, Ferdinand, Sturrock.

Very happy with that lineup. :) Now pleeease lets have a good performance and a solid win to justify that confidence!

I'm assuming this is the way we'll line up:

Morris
Clohessy Phillips Barker Gilbert
Hall Kalala Timlin Martin
Dickinson Benyon

Subs: Mohsni, Grant, Harris, Ferdinand, Sturrock.

Very strong side that, with good options on the bench. We've come a long long way since 18 months ago.

Of note I'm really looking forward to seeing Hall float around a bit, cutting inside and Clohessy overlapping down the right, with Kalala to cover. That should terrorise any defence!

Sing up guys, wishing I was there.

Yes a good line-up. Having seen Vale's team thet are not as bad as they said they were going to be.A good front 3 in Rigg, Pope and Richards. I think it was Richards who tore us apart in this fixture last season. A slightly tougher match than originally thought I'd imagine.

Well got the starting line up right, now lets get the 3 nil score line to Southend. I really would appreciate that too, as I bloody fractured my foot last night and its now up in a cast.:'(
Thank god for Blues player:loyalsupporter:

I hate this feeling of confidence I have before a match. The disappointment can be so crushing! Let's hope this is the squad we've been waiting for.
