People...

I have tried to say before, keep calm, it will be ok.

Ron wants out now. There is zero danger of him screwing this up to the point that he is stuck with it. It's not going to happen.

The winning bidders may well be Kimura. But there also may well be the other party pushing hard, so Kimura (who want it) will want the deal done.

Ron wants the best price (obvs) but will also want his liability to cease asap so he will also want the deal done.

There was great progress before the NL deadline of 2/6 and the next deadline is 12/7, so whilst it is hopeful that something may happen this week (my guess is tomorrow or Friday), we really won't have to wait that long.

Patience is a virtue. And if you want to feel better about it, stop predicting what Ron may do based on previous form. He is no longer in that place.

I'm not in the know, so can stop reading now if you like. There is the possibility that whilst Ron wants out, he has already screwed it up by doing something in the past that will be uncovered by DD and cause bidders to walk away. As I say I have no knowledge that this is the case, I'm playing devil's advocate, but whilst all parties want a deal, doesn't mean it will happen.

If Ray Winston is involved in our deal and watching West Ham this evening he may think that from a team and supporter perspective we are a better option !! Embarrassing on both counts !!

If anyone sees Ray Winston in Southend on Thursday don’t get over excited. He’s the Patron of the Southend on Sea Film Festival and a film he is in with Anna Paquin is showing on the opening night. Just a heads up to stop a shrimperzone meltdown.
if he makes it back from Prague 🍻🍻

The longer this goes on we will have zero chance of bringing in new players before pre season Also player out of contract may leave. So this must be done ASAP
Not necessarily We can be negotiating with players, keeping them and their agents updated with progress of the sale. Once sale completed we complete the deal(s). Obviously they would be subject to the NDAs too.

Once the sale is completed there could be a lot of activity.

I wouldn't be suprised if you see a big flurry of transfer news and contract renewals days after the sale goes through.

They'll want to hit the ground running and make an impression.

But not all players will be prepared to take the risk, especially as our name is worse than mud these days.

We've already missed out on targets and I'm sure we'll miss out on more.

I'm sure initial talks are taking place with our own out of contract players we want to retain and potential targets, but I think there's only so far they can go until budgets for next season are established, and seeing as the club is in limbo pending a potential take-over, that is a way off for now.

I am rubbish at remembering , how late in the day was molsely hired and his disasterous management team? That was a late acquisition wasn’t it ? Leaving is hugely under cooked for the season
13th August! Very late in the day, although the season started later due to Covid. Was made even worse though by the fact that everyone, from office staff to groundsmen to playing staff, had been furloughed. Players hadn't been kept in contact with until they were called back in for pre-season, they hadn't been given any dietary or fitness programmes, and many of them came back in pretty poor physical and mental condition. That season was just spectacularly under prepared for, before you even consider Molesley.
