Just to chuck an angle in what would ve achieved by getting rid of him. Too late for a play off spot, the players are his. He has taken us to a cup final. Let him see the season out, have his day and wembley and get someone fresh in the summer who may be able to work with the youth playerswe will have to field as most senior players leave for pastures new

begining to think there will be a change maybe at the end of the season but looking at the posts on here people think it might be sooner.
Does anybody see other managers beating Ron Martins door down too come hear?
I can also see players moving on,Gillingham bound too come in for Tomlin again.

We have played the ball on the deck very well the last few games and the majority of the season. Seems we get better results playing direct football

We started the season playing better football but that seems to have gone by the way since christmas.

As for getting better results with direct football last season we were doing well like that but fell apart after December. We got found out and freefalled until Eastwood came back and we played differently and we shot to the top of the form table.

There will be plenty apply. There are only 92 league jobs and there will be loads who will want it. How many of those will be any good is anyones guess.

..and failed pretty miserably. Not passionate enough or fit enough to take us any further. Time for a new man that actually wants to keep the ball on the deck and go for more than one goal.....over to you Ron!

Failed pretty miserably???? You ****ing deluded ****

Took a side with no players steadied the ship built a side 1 point from automatic promotion unearthed gems like hall, corr and cresswell and got us to Wembley something no other manager has done.

Time to go maybe but don't act like the guy has done **** all

Top Post TB, too many people on here forgetting what Sturrocks had to work with & through!

Fully agree, although I do think it's time for a change now.

I totally agree with TB, he has done a fantastic job with very limited funds, yes i think it is time for a change, but last night the starting 11 on paper was a good attacking line up, 80% of the responsibility of last nights result lays at the feet of the players, 20% at the managers door for panic substitutions which in my opinion was wrong, tomlin should have come on and partnered Britt, freddy then drop back just behind and either Reeves or hurst off.

Thats my take on the whole thing, feel free to shoot me down

Not disputing that just that you can't rubbish what Paul has done

Yep and as I said I fully agree with that - I just can't put up with any more SHOCKING home displays! The only worry I have is that Ron appoints a "yes man" and if that happens the consequences could be disastrous. Sadly though I am advocating a change now, things can't go on. Not until the end of the season though, Sturrock deserves his day at Wembley as a thankyou for what he's done for this club.

Di Canio's Championship budget would probably have more to do with their success IMO.
