strongest ever squad ?

I think the original poster was merely saying that the overall strength of this squad has to be one of the best we have had.

The Webb (1990-92) and Fry team of 1993 may have been better in starting 11 wise, but our 2nd team now does indeed look pretty strong.

Id imagine a team of Griemink, Jupp, Prior, generic centre back, generic left back, Pettefer, Bentley Smith, Gower, Eastwood, Gray, would avoid relegation in this division, and none of them can get into our starting line up.

My definitive Webb team was Sansome, Austin, Prior, Scully, Powell, Ansah, Butler, Martin, Tilson, Benjamin, Angell...without having the Rothman year book at work, IIRC our back up players consisted of Paul Newell (Ok laterly Royce), Hyslop, Mark Hall, Franscisco Cagigao, Kevin O'Callaghan, Andy Sussex, John Cornwall, Peter Cawley etc etc...none of whom were that good, (I did though used to like Andy Sussex).

I bet I missed some vital player out now and will make myself look a plum (Deliberately discounted Keith Jones from starting eleven as he signed after we were in old Div 2!)
