Assuming that Barnard and Freedman wont be available and Laurent is banned, who would you rather see up front to partner Revell?

Give that Hazell a game against Telford, supposed to be a bit special, Walker is the obvious choice but what about Ademeno as well, probably put Scannel there.

In spite of what Arsenal achieve, cup games are dodgy ones to try and give experience to youngsters. Telford will be desperate to upset us and it will be a tough game. I think Walker's workrate and determination will come in more useful.

I would put walker up there, he could do with a few games upfront and not on the wing.

he could do with a kick up the jacksy aswell. poor player IMO. give one of the youngsters a go. but definately not walker or furlong. furlong is older than time itself and needs to stat behind the scenes because he will not do a job for us

Ademeno's been patient enough waiting on the sidelines, and always gets a few goals out on loan. I wouldn't be surprised to see him given a chance against Telford, but unless he gets a hatrick I doubt Tilly would start him over walker in the league

Izzy McLeod is available on loan - I'd be tempted to look at getting him in for a month, give Dougie and Barney a real chance to get over their injury problems. From what I saw in the ressys the other day, I'd stick Furlong on with either Walker or Scannell to come on after an hour - and on current form, I'd say Scannell.

a 16 year old upfront against one of the best teams in the league does not strike me as a good idea.

Walker is my choice. Not the best option normally but the best from what we have here. Revell and Furlong would be too similar in my book.

I'm not too keen on either Furlong or Walker. As it is only Telford we can use one or two reserve players. Would like to possibly see Herd and/or O'Keefe on Tuesday. Maybe Hazell.

Telford are a more than useful side, and caused us plenty of problems at their gaff. This is not a game to experiment in, therefore Walkers' experience and pace would win the day for me, as he would give their defence a bit to think about.

I can just imagine the sort of response that remark would get on here if we were playing a Prem side and they said it was only Southend. We are playing a Telford side who were good enough to score 2 goals against us and we only scraped a draw in injury time.

As in all cases we need to field our strongest side available to us.

Absolutely agree CS. If we go into Tuesday's game with that attitude, we will get dumped out of the cup big time. And with the cash that a good cup run can bring, £20k for winning on Tuesday alone.

If we treat Telford lightly then we could face an even tougher season financially, let alone the short term embarresment a home defeat on Tuesday would bring.

They are part-timers and not professionals. Anyway even if we think that Telford are easy they should all give 100%! Anyway some of our reserve players are better than their standard. Like some prem reserve players are better than our standard.

Hopefully we'll have enough about us to get past Telford but in terms of the next couple of weeks I see our old friend Cureton is looking for a loan.

BBC Football

Could be a short-term fix whilst we're waiting for the return of Barney & Dougie!!!

Have to be Walks, with him and Al's workrate we should see off Telford, Barney supposed to be close to return but wouldn't risk starting him yet.

Agree that it has to be Walker. He has had very few chances up front this year and this would be a great game to boost his confidence. I liked Tilson's comments after the Tranmere game that that there was an opportunity for a striker to make a place his own (rather like Laurent did against Leeds until yesterday).

No need to rush Hazzell. Arsenal can afford to play their (very good) youngsters in the Carling cup which is 4th on their list of priorites. The FA offers our only chance of a glamorous tie and extra revenue.

Without Dougie and Barney I think Walker is the best option. For all his negatives, if he was on the shoulder of the last man then his pace is going to always cause problems and and worry the opposition. But, I think if Walks came into the side Tilly needs to build him up so that he believes that he deserves to be out there. His confidence looks low to me and that's a problem.
