Couldn't begin to see that (the Stimson bit rather than the Plankinson bit). To get a job from non-league to League One is a bit of a steep 'promotion'. In effect, it is the equivalent of Martin Ling getting the Sheffield United job.
It's the sort of thing Col Ewe would do by taking an unknown league manager and give him a chance. Parkinson's first job is Col Ewe and he's still there for the moment anyway.
