Absolute legend of this club surely there can be a role for him somewhere within it. So many years as a dedicated player who gave his all in a blue shirt, then he becomes our most successful manager. I love you tilly and hope you get a good job that you can succeed in. I know a few thousand proud men and women who would write you a reference

Tilson has applied for the Women's National Team Job

According to CP that is. Has Tilson finally lost his marbles. He has absolutely no chance of getting that job, even more ridiculous than when it was mentioned that Norwich wanted him. Good luck ST but don't hold out much hope.

Stranger things have happened. Tilly was very well regarded by the FA not so long ago, spending time coaching with both the U-21's and the full senior side.

Good luck Tilly.

I don't know if TB knows the same as me but refering to Tilson as a nasty piece of work off away from football over the years does sound about right from what i've heard over the years from many people.

Tilly is a great bloke + a gentleman. I hope he gets the job + does really well. His teams always run their socks off for him !

Unlike our side relegated to League two they went down without a whimper - wages was one thing but they didn't even perform when required to. I can't help but think that Paul Brush was really the brains behind Tilly's very early managerial success.

Having said this, he is and will always remain a club legend as a player and as a manager so I wish him luck.

As someone mentioned, he spent a short while involved with the England under 21 set up although I suspect the hierachy has changed many times since those days.

Same for me I feel its was Brushes leg work

Did he turn up at Leeds Meet the players Day?

He turned up to ours, at a club that sacked him after not paying his squad for half the season and not paying him either. Says a lot about the man that he was still prepared to come along.

Ask people in the know why he was caretaker boss here for up to 5 months when people couldn't underrstand why he wasn't appointed sooner. Then when being given the reason ask what it entailed. not always the hero hes portrayed as being.

Rather than ****-stirring, why don't you just post it?

I don't know anyone in the know. So you tell us.
