Steve Collis

shrimperton

Manager
surely its time for him be given a few games, he played well in league cup and did not deserve to be dropped, flavs is a great shot stopper but lacks height, and some of the goals we do concede are down to him being 5'11"

i reckon collis would have saved 2 of the goals on sat after seeing the replay.. however flavs made some excellent saves also

I would play Collis, the team neds mixing up a bit, we are in a rot of it doesnt matter how you play, the same players will be picked next game anyway!

Shocking decision by Tilly. He has always said if you play well you stay in the team. Well clearly that isnt true!
What message does it send to the other squad players like Bailey, Macdonald and Black. Theyve been given chances but Tilly will always go for Maher/Macca partnership even tho it clealy doesnt work, will always pick JCR even tho he contributes nothing and picking Harrold over Macdonald is just plain daft!

From Saturday, Bailey for sure should be in Saturdays side. But we know that if Maher is fit he will be in (rightly so though) and Macca will start alongside him. :minger:

well said

I wouldn't be surprised if Collis slapped in a transfer request after the way he's been treated

unfortunately Tilson has his favourites and they will always get in ahead of the so-called fringe players, regardless of how they perform

Sad to say that I can't disagree with you there at all, Lee. It's probably his biggest weakness - that and his apparent cluelessness about substitutes.

:(

agree with you and Lee... I really feel for Steve (collis), he waited for his chance, took it and then gets dropped for a player who IMO is different, but not any better

Stats can be altered / lied about

when you stand next to him there is no lying

I was surprised that Darryl got the nod, and duly disappointed that he got beaten by a long range free-kick once again!
What does Collis have to do to get in the team?!?

Poor management IMO, sends out all of the wrong messages for those fighting for places.

Collis is a good professional, he has trained hard and been patient waiting for his opportunity, when it did come along he played well and saved a penalty, hence boosting his confidence and keeping Darryl on his toes.

But what does Tilly go and do? he totally goes against what he has said in the past, and drops Collis for the next game.

Collis must be wondering what he has to do to earn a start in the first XI.

Surely by selecting Collis it would have made the entire squad think, "If I play well I will keep my place".
