I don’t disagree but Cardwell is the current player in the Southend starting lineup. I don’t think he’s drop to National level and would be out our budget. Would expect a Scottish Prem or lower league 1 / League 2 move for him.

No an obsession at all, I very rarely call for former players to be looked at but there are always exceptions. In any case I don’t expect we would go for him or that he’s come

He'll go down in Southend history for that goal, but he's never been prolific throughout his career. Also, he was homesick, he didn't love it down here, and wanted to play in the North East.

Oh yeh I agree. We've got no chance in signing him. Too good for this level.
