Moley seemed pretty sure we were out of the embargo so hopefully it's just that we're waiting on the NL to check the paperwork, I'm guessing the statement was the first they heard of us paying off the debt.

Absolutely agree. If you could just let the others know, that would be aceIt probably literally just been paid. So quick statement immediately thereafter.
In the coming days no doubt (and we should) get a more detailed statement regarding the details on other debts (particularly wages).
We have been whining about how disgraceful it is we have no statement, they rush one out to say HMRC paid, and we moan about the statement being brief (no doubt because it was rushed out...)
@Moley knows his stuff.Moley seemed pretty sure we were out of the embargo so hopefully it's just that we're waiting on the NL to check the paperwork, I'm guessing the statement was the first they heard of us paying off the debt.
Exactly, I very much doubt the NL will lift the embargo based on a statement from our website
Hopefully, HMRC will confirm this tomorrow.
Exactly. Its almost as if some are bitterly disappointed that it got paid at all....Guys, let the dust settle. Enjoy the moment. A further more detailed statement is meant to be coming out within the next 2 days.
Nothing Naive about it mate, have a very good idea of what’s happeningExactly the sort of posts I fully expected, very very very naive.
Jay, your post edited to reflect our chairman's previous fibs.Exactly, I very much doubt the NL will lift the embargo based on a statement from our OWNER
Hopefully, HMRC will confirm this tomorrow.
Sadlt that ts the echo for you .May be someone from the shrimpers trust can give everyone a reason why the Embargo has not been lifted .I thought we was under an embargo for non payment of taxes .If as reported the tax has been paid in full surely the embargo should be removed .Even though it’s Chris Phillip it’s still the press making it sound ten times worse
Plus 'Funds as working capital have also been injected to help Southend United over the coming months' so hopefully the club can be run correctly and this may not happen ahaiin.Reading between the lines "the Club can confirm the monies owed to HMRC, under the Petition, have been paid in full"
So basically we have only paid off the historic debt, and not the liabilities accrued since then.
If we’re still under an embargo this time next week then it could well mean more recent money is still owed to HMRCWhere does this leave us Umbongo wise?
Moaning before then saying all would be ok few weeks ago and there md meeting us now this?****ing hell. What a weird bunch.
