I did get the Pe Ter kay Vi de o o ver Chris tmas.

Fu nni ly e nough I did get the joke such as it was.

I used a chil dish play on words for o ther peo ple's be ne fit.

It is ob vi ous ly lost on some peo ple.

Or are you on ly a llowed to use sar ca sm or i ro ny with the i nner sanc tum of S Z u sers who see the Spread as some sort of ho ly tem ple when it is in fact just an or di na ry pub?

Well, I wouldn't go so far as shi.te but it's not quite the mannah from heaven it sometimes seems made out to be. But that's maybe for another thread.

So all in all, probably can't quite make the karaoke.

I made the joke in my post from the Peter Kay DVD, about calling a DVD a VD. You elaborated this, all I am saying is that anyone who has seen the DVD does not need elaboration and that was the point of my joke in the first place.

You were being Ironic/sarcastic, fair enough, though how I am supposed to know that from:

Lets just agree to disagree, if you're going to be childish about it - I didn't think it was obviously ironic or sarcastic, mainly because it WOULD have been lost on a lot of people as obviously a lot wouldn't have seen the DVD for christmas. It also could have been a spelling mistake you were picking me up on.

What is the matter with everyone on here? Surely the most important part of a pub is the beer it sells which, no one seems to mention. Quite frankly the Spread can have vd machines, karaoke machines, quiz machines and the like but as the first post on this topic mentions it is all about the amount of beer the pub sells. IMHO pubs are for drinking in, arcades are for playing games in. After all, the arcades don't sell beer so why should the pubs provide games.
