I thought that Football Focus piece was dire, even worse than Barrett's attempt at presenting before the Swansea game.

Trust the beeb to show an asylum seeking Kosovan & a fat self-important moose (who was determined to carry on her phone conversation) as refelctive of the populus of Southend-on-Sea.

It's too late for that mate.

I you want to get the fans back on side I would suggest that nothing less than having the club crest tattooed across your chest will do.

It's not, sounds like he was a victim, ITV wanted us to be seen in a certain way and if they did not get Brian it would be someone else.

I was in the away seats and spotted a fan wearing a Chelsea coat!

As agreed by the ShrimperZone bosses here is a photo of Mr Wheeler in a Southend coat purchased by ShrimperZone that will be presented to him before Friday's game against Scunthorpe.

Over the top and offensive towards a man that works hard for the good of the club and was behind the big screen beam back of the Col ewe game amongst other things.

Tad Harsh...
Just a tad? Brain works very hard for the club and as he has posted was caught short and stitched up by the lovely media! He did a fantastic job with the beam back and has been one of many people who has turned the fortunes of this club around. If you have a major problem with it all be a bit more creative in your arguements. I was upset myself with brain wearing the WHU coat but its one of those things. A school boy error some may say and it won't be repeated. He now has a lovely new coat that I am sure he will wear with pride. There is nothing wrong with someone supporting more than one club and as he was born the the east end I can see why he does. But he is a true supporter of Southend as well and was probably jumping with joy over every goal we scored on Saturday like the rest of us. Without Brian here I doubt the beam back along with many other aspects would not as been as succesful as they would of been.

Brian,

I voiced my displeasure earlier on but as always there will be two sides to the story - thanks for putting yours across.

For those who still seem to be "attacking" Brain, let's accept that he was stitched up - but has the good-humour to put things right, starting with the presentation of a Southend coat at the next game.

BTW Brian, on a more positive note, congratulations on a successful Roots Hall matchday experience - one that could so easily have gone completely tits-up!

to be honest it doesn't bother me, he just got caught out by the media. had he been at roots hall on matchday wearing his west ham then i could see the point. but had he been wearing a london wasps coat we wouldn't be having this discussion.

so by people arguements here, if for example i worked in NEXT i couldn't wear Marks and Sparks clothes?!

Not even remotely what anyone on here is arguing.

Working in a shop, wearing M&S clothes, no problem.

Giving an interview to the national media as a Next representative wearing a jacket pushing the M&S brand - slightly more of a problem.

However, as I said above, I'm more than happy with Brian's argument and, for me at least, the issue should be put to bed.

Have the ''ShrimperZone bosses'' stolen my idea?

Or does Brian think I am in charge of this site?
