Sports Personality of the Year

well done joe, 10 years a champion & 0 losses.

on a personal note im gutted,
i had southend to win, floyd to win & hatton to win the bbc title
£100 return
shame on me, sorry

Mclaren ****ed it up in the last but one race, he took an unecessary risk in the last race and then he had an engine problem I hardly think he bottled it!

To be honest, I don't care about F! don't even think of it as a real sport. I wanted someone to win SP who had actually won something this year, not a runner up so I was glad with the outcome.

Glad he won it, I think he deserves it more than the rest of them. Thought Rose and Toseland should of been 2nd and 3rd.

I stopped watching after Ellen MacArthur lost to Freddie Flintoff (agggh no justice !!!)
(Granted that year there probably wasn't a personality in the room but hey ... ho )

Actually after just viewing the results there got it pretty much stop on this year , not just a pop contest but real sporting achievements :D

I'm glad to Calzaghe won as his achievements are second to none. I also like the Bobby Robson bit, thought that was a nice touch.

Bobby Robson picked up his deserved award, absolute legend of the game and it obviously meant so much to him to pick up the award,

I didn't realise how badly his stroke had affected him. Good on him for being there and picking up his award. And also good on Sir Alex for helping him back to his seat in the manner he did. That was a real touch of humility.

That was a very touching moment. Especially when he made the tribute to his missus. Strangely, at almost exactly the same point, I got 'something in my eye' which caused my eyes to moisten ever so slightly. Honest :o
