Didn't Ryanair try to buy out Aer Lingus again this week? The bid was rejected (I think), and still wouldn't give them any aircraft likely to be compatible with Southend's runway (predominantly Airbus A320 and the like), but I guess it does show that they're still willing to invest large sums of money to corner new routes etc...

And exactly my point!!

You really have no idea Einstein.

Put it this way I will put a wager on with you that Ryanair will never ever have passenger flights fly out of Southend Airport. My director has stated that he wouldn't be interested what so ever in having Ryanair fly out even if they changed their aircraft.

Oh and sorry I am not a big wig who sits in an office and thinks I rule the world. Just because I am an aviation fire fighter who has no fires (apparently) to deal with I know nothing. I just sit on the internet all day, yep thats right. You seriously do not have a clue.

My Dad is extremeley high up in Aviation and I get alot of my information from him, I also know people high up in Ryanair, BAA, ASIG, Swissport and lots of other companies. I may have been a baggage handler for Swissport but the friends I made while in that business know alot more than you!

I am fed up of all this crap about just because I am an fire fighter who doesn't have any fires to deal with I know **** all. I am an aviation fan and know alot more than you think, I have to have a slight knowledge for my job and being a fan I do it for love too. I would like you to see you try and do my job and watch you struggle doing the training situations I have to be put in. Would you know what to do if a RJ100 with 90 passengers on board have its undercarriage collapse and go skidding off the runway and burst into flames. I guess not!
Of course I would not, however not once have I claimed I do. If I state something as fact, then I find it entirely reasonable if someone wants to challenge that my point is not fact. Then I'd expect to back it up. You state things as fact which are in the future. There is no such thing as fact when it comes to the future.

Key example - you did it again with this point.

My director has stated that he wouldn't be interested what so ever in having Ryanair fly out
Your Director could be sacked in the morning.

I like the way you have tried the sympathetic vote though without addressing each point though. Quite clever for you.

It took me a fair amount of time replying to each point of your post, shame you could not do the same without going into teenage girl hysteria, but I suppose that's what we have come to expect.

Yeah, but you started your post with "No offence, but...", which everyone knows is the conversational equivalent of thinking that Diet Coke counter balances the effects of half a dozen pizzas...

My director won't be sacked the whole point of the take over was to keep the existing management. Hence why the sale has taken so long. But whether the Stobart group keep to their word is something I don't know.

You enjoy making me look small don't you Einstein! This is not the first and won't be the last time you have had a pop at me. I am not looking for sympathy because I couldn't give a ****. The fact is you live in Holland and I work AT SOUTHEND AIRPORT! We have meetings and I often have conversations with the director about dealings and plans etc. Because I actually show an interest in the place.

I am going to stop replying to your posts now, yes you have put your point across and fair enough for going to the time to reply to it. But to the original argument Ryanair will not fly out of Southend Airport with passengers. So to be honest you have wasted your time.

you are doing enough of that yourself the last few days

Would you send in Bruce Willis??

That didn't come as a suprise, they pulled their engineering section out of Southend due to no work and we have had two of their MD83's sitting on our GA park for ages now due to no work.

Not sure what effect it will have on the airport or the effect it will have on the Ford Corporate Shuttle flight as they supply the crew for it...

apparently Ryanair won't fly from Southend because of all the holes Ricey has dug in the runway.

Ricey, stop digging!

Ricey, your only 5ft so Einstein doesnt have to do much does he ;)

To go a little back on track, I heard it was up for sale at £100m and he got it for a steal in the region of £21m.
