Ticket News Southport (H) Saturday 4th Jan 3pm. F. A. Trophy 4th round.

Just wishful thinkingā€¦..should we smash Southport out of the cup, and planning optimistically ahead, when is the next round scheduled for please šŸ™

Let the ale flow Rigs.

The same crew were in the 1906 on the opening day v Charlton. I think we set a good bar bill if anyone who wants to challenge.

There are few on here who have sneered at COSU for these sort of improvements. They are vital if we want to compete with the likes of Barnet. Just as essential if we in anyway get promoted.

I can't believe the criticism of COSU. I think it's probably because COSU haven't advertised all the improvements and money for improvements they have injected all over the club, Roots Hall and the training ground. They are doing a fantastic job. Big improvements and little improvements all over the place.

Good morning ladies and gents, Southport fan here. Looking forward to hopefully a decent cup-tie on Saturday. I think we will bring a couple of hundred at most, maybe more like 180. We don't travel particularly well (we took 300 to our closest away game on August bank holiday), but we do have quite a large number of London and South-East based fans. This is a new ground for a lot of our fans, and our first trip "down south" since we were relegated from the National League in 2017.

In terms of the match, if you play a strong side it'll be a struggle for us. That said we played Chesterfield last season, who played a lot of their youth team and beat us 6-1, so we may even struggle against a weaker side. In a one-off game though, who knows!?

Safe journey down.

I'm sure the club will field a fairly strong side due to the reward of a decent final and probably our only chance of any success this season.

I'd expect a low crowd (for us) of about 2500 on the day.

The fish House by the stadium does excellent fish and chips.

The railway pub outside of the prittlewell station (closest station) will welcome away fans and is a decent pub. Not sure about the blue boar and spread Eagle as they don't usually accept any away fans.

About 20 mins from the ground in the town centre are the usual array of chain pubs and Mcdonald KFC etc.

Alternatively if real ale is your thing, then the old trout, West Road tap are your best bet.

Plenty of street parking near the ground in the roads off of Fairfax drive.

All the best after Saturday

Is it me? No matter how hard I try I cannot order my 2 season ticket seats! Ordering the tickets but not my seats. I called the ticket office today around 1130 and persisted for ovwe 2 hours but no one answered any of the numbers i hold. So frustrating Grrrrrr

The cup tickets were put straight on sale to everyone so it was first come first served so your ST seat has probably been sold

If online your seat colour is grey, then it has already been sold. Can always try different seats, you might prefer it!

I might be wrong, but I seem to recall someone saying ticket office was closed between Xmas and NY, might explain lack of telephone answering - but you'd think a recorded message informing that would be useful. Is the hold message still advertising the Millwall game?????

Well, given that my usual season ticket spot in the South Upper was unavailable for obvious reasons, and the unavailability of my cousin with whom I usually sit, I thought I would try to persuade several friends to join me in the East Stand. All would qualify for the over 61s concession, but no takers, so I asked my son instead. We had South Upper front row behind the goal season tickets for several years, including the glory days of the 2 promotions in a row from League 2 to Championship, and the less than glorious single season in the Championship, although that did feature the great League Cup run including the trip to White Hart Lane after beating some team in red. I am glad to say he is accompanying me for old times sake. Probably his first match at the Hall for almost twenty years. He is an Arsenal fan now so I have asked him not to be too judgemental!! Looking forward to it.
