Southend v Oxford Latest

Considering we lost, I'm quite pleased. Looking at the results today, we could be in alot more difficulty than we are at the moment. Have a look at the league table and be proud.

Well I can't see us winning at Grimsby on the last day - A draw at best. We have a poor record up there.

Gonna have to beat Yeovil next week now

We've made it hard for ourselves. Oxford were there for the taking but we didn't turn up first half !

Is it really 166 hours till the Yeovil game? I simply can't wait that long!!!

While promotion is the main aim, I do hope we are not going to lose the title again on the last day.

If I remember rightly Cambridge pinched the title off us on the last day - several years ago. I think we lost to Brentford at home but perhaps I'm getting mixed up.

Cheers

We're second. We're in the play-offs at the very least.

Four points will confirm automatic promotion.

Nothing wrong with that.

Yeah, very poor in the first half, we looked like a team in relegation trouble.

As soon as Gray come on it all changed.  We looked good!!

Eastwood took his goal well after Tardif's mistake.

I thought Pettefer played really well, he run his socks off!!!
Surprise surprise Maher picks up another yellow! Make Barrett or Spinner captain now!

Yeah, results went out way big time, how lucky are we

The leaugue title is still in grasp!! We have to give it our all to get the trophy.

It's gonna go down to the wire and we have to play better in both of those game for the full 90 minutes. Not just the second half like today.

As for the fighting today we witnessed in the ground, it was trully shocking. I dont know what it was over (difference of opinion etc?) but it should never come to fighting with fellow fans. Yes we all have different views etc, you learn to live with it. If everyone had the same view it would be boring.

Good atmosphere in the pub near the ground though.

UP THE BLUES!!!

If Barrett or Spinner became captain (which I personally would like to see), then I don't think Maher would be sticking around too long afterwards

We did. Dave Martin missed a penalty, Brentford won 1-0 to ensure a play-off spot, and the bottle of champagne AND the Third Division Championship trophy had to be biked urgently up to the Abbey Stadium ...

We need four points from the final four games to assure ourselves of the automatic promotion spot. It's NOT beyond us but it's gonna be tough and nail-biting. What we DO NOT need are some ****ed up little to**ers deciding to fight amongst themselves in the stands. We need to be UNITED in the next couple of weeks ...

Well if thats the case, let him go if he dont wanna stick around!

Not one player is bigger than SUFC.

Maher played poor today i thought.

Outplayed and out fought. Your only real chance was you goal that was gifted to you by us. You will need to play better if you are going to go up.

Did you watch a different game mate, ok i will give you a that the first half you were ok but 2nd half we outplayed and was unlucky that we did not get the breaks with one of many corners we won.
