All three of Crawley's goals came either directly from their left (first, third goal) or from an attack which started on the left (second, leading to the pen). Clohessy had a mediocre game and needs to be kept on his toes.

I wasn't at the game on Tuesday so I take your word for it. (How could I not trust a lawyer!) However, I do think that we're getting into a "Weakest Link" mentality. Does one bad game mean a player deserves to be dropped? I'd certainly agree that two or three may do, but one? All that will do is make players too anxious to do anything. One bad game and you're out.

Look at the England cricket team. Bell was off form for a while, as was Cook and Broad. They were kept in the team, and the result has been the team are now number 1 in the world.

A good point well made!

I,too, think that PS may decide to give Leonard a go on Sat. His long range shooting could tip the balance in the manager's thinking. Addressing the grotesque lack of creativity on Tuesday night must be giving PS headaches as he looks at his mirror. Neil Harris was no doubt back at his old stamping ground last night and wondering just when he will get the service he once took for granted. He must have despaired at the lack of service he received on Tuesday. Unless we play him in on the ground more often his talents will be wasted. Full marks to him for looking interested right to the end. Perhaps PS will surprise us and put in Sawyer from the off.

Wouldnt be surprised if Blair starts on saturday in place of Dickinson. The partnership is not working with Harris albeit early days. Blair is more comfortable playing in that 4-3-3 as one of the front 3. Would also expect to see Sawyer come in for Kane and Phillips in for Coughlan. Woildnt drop Clohessy, one bad game, he was outstanding against Orient and his attacking runs are important when playing 4-3-3.

Interesting one. On one hand we lost 3-0 so PS will want to make a statement
Do you allow those from Crawley to put it right or do you make a point of some changes.

I agree that Sawyer no deserves to come in and show what he can due in an attacking midfield role. given Johnson still not showing I would go

Morris
Clohessy Phillips Barker Prosser
Grant Kalala Sawyer Hall
Harris Dickinson

Bentley, Ferdinand, Asante, Johnson, Mohsni

Ferdinand for Kalala maybe but been impressed with Kalala. Grant can play on the right, not sure Ferdinand could. Ferdinand also had limited pre season.
Sawyer is our most created midfield player and we need a decent service to the front two (Sawyer can do that).

I though we were solid for 56 mins and then the 'lucky' cross/shot. What we needed to do was keep calm and a chance to equalize would have come before the end.

What happened was we panicked, lost our shape- in contrast with their confidence up they played better and took advantage (we let them). In Clohessy's case he defended well for 56 mins then suddenly wanted to push forward- but the were good down the left and they took full adavantage. It was a game where he needed to concentrate on defensive duties first.

One bad quarter- dont shoot him. Very mauch doubt Leonard would had faired better.

dont think we will see blair for at least a couple of weeks yet as he needs alot of minutes behind him first as he has missed all of pre-season and dont think he will be risked, might be set for a bench spot tho.

Agreed. He even says as much on Twitter:

"Still a long road ahead. To be continued..."

I think some have got a touch hysterical after one bad game. I also can't believe some of the comments about moshni on one of the threads. Sawyer has to come in.

Morris

Clohessy Moshni Barker Prosser (Gilbert if prosser is out)

Sawyer Grant Kalala Hall

Dickinson Harris

If we win on saturday we have 9 points out of twelve. Who wouldn't have taken that at the start of the season? In fact who wouldn't have taken that in any season in the clubs history?

UTB

Prosser looks to as he will be out Saturday with an injury so moshni will play CB and Gilbert will come in as LB. Fact

Where did you hear this from? Just asked CP on twitter and he hadn't heard anything. That'd be all we need.

Also I assume Mark Phillips will be having another late fitness test so he could start ahead of Mohsni. Just can't see Mohsni starting unless we have no other choice.
