Southend United's Barry Corr closing in on first team return

I hope he be alright, when he start his training this week - he was my best player on Fifa 11 & 12! I always whip perfect cross for him to finish with a header, he never miss a header when I see him play in 2010/11 season, I bet Corr must be ****ed off, now we are creating chances from corner, free kick and on flanks too, better team than when Corr scored 21 goals for us.

the real positive thing is he hasn't had a problem with his knee again , but it pains the question ... has he done any hard corr (lol) training or enough training to provoke it in the first place .

also its very important he doesn't get rushed back in to it , the echo are very good at blowing things out of proportion , and by saying he's "closing in on first team football" can put a lot of pressure on Barry as well frustrating the fans . as it has been said before , he has been out for about 18 months and full match fitness will take about 2 months , but most likely less as we are short on players .

my advise is ... ignore the echo and don't get your hopes up until we see BBBC warming up before a game , give him some time

in the mean time ... "all we need is Assombalonga , Assombalonga , Assombalonga "

...... but it pains the question ...

 It "pains the question" does it? Never heard that phrase before ...........:clap::nope:

As for the length of time it takes to get back to match fitness, the number of other players that the club has is not a factor. Unless you meant that he (Barry Corr) might be asked to play before he is fully match fit. That makes some sense and a 20 minutes spell at the end of a game is always an option.

I do agree that there must be some considerable fustration for Barry but I think the matter of there being pressure on him to play is over stated.

yes sorry , thats what i meant . to come in too the frame sooner if we need him for 20 min or so each week , i was leaning a bit more towards sharpness and less on fitness in that time time frame ... if you know what i mean
