Southend United's Barry Corr closing in on first team return

haven't we heard this before ?

i haven't followed much of the barry corr saga , does this sound legit this time around ? (if he doesn't get injured again)

I reckon he'll start training and then break down with another problem, I don't think BBBC will ever play for us again :'(

It's possible of course, as with anyone returning from injury especially after so long.

Am I alone in seeing the long come back as such a positive? If that doesn't demonstrate a fighting spirit that he's been out so long yet battled his way back to be even close to a comeback, then I don't know what does. His attitude suggests he'll be back, even if there's another setback. The only thing we don't know is whether his body's up to it, but he'll know that much better than we do. If BBBC thinks he can make it back, then it's good enough for me.

Come on Barry. Prove all those negativists wrong.

Clairvoyant, a member of the SUFC backroom team with inside knowledge the rest of us don't have, or just an opportunity to put a negative spin on some positive news?

Until proved otherwise I'm going to look forward to BBBC's return to action. A few appearances from the bench to gain match-fitness and then we'll see if he can recover his form for us.

I reckon Barry Corr will resume training on Thursday, make the first team saturday, score a hat-trick and then go on to reach 40 goals by the end of a championship winning season whilst playing the entire 90 minutes of every remaining match.

Corr's not even injured, he's just giving all the other scorers in the division a head start.

a
nope you are not on your own. My glass is always half full. I would not like to go though life with some of the negativity that comes up on here most days

Please remember Corr hasnt played a game in 18 months almost, even if he is fit, he's a long way from 'match fit' -lest not get too excited, and the last thing anyonee should do is rush him, or expect too much. I can hear the moaners already, 2 games in if he hasnt bagge'd a brace going 'Corr your cr*p, get off' !
