Ruined my weekend! So many what if moment in my mind, what if we fouled their player before he crossed the ball that led to that penalty!

Warned you

That was a sickener but I think you have to take the rough with the smooth.........we've done a similar thing to other clubs on a number of occasions this season. In all honesty you have to say, from what I heard, that they deserved something from the game.

Plus, we don't have quite the same pressure to maintain top spot. I will be happy to stay a comfortable third for another couple of months and then edge out in front for the finishing sprint (though if we won every game from hereon in, I would be equally pleased)

Brown: "We all thought Straker was fouled and that's what made him handle the ball so we're very disappointed."
Don't I remember something very basic, in my distant past, about playing to the whistle?.....silly boy!

Performance wise and in terms of possession we were second best. A bitter blow at conceding at the death but they deserved a point

Might have known it would be Straker who f***s it up !!! Still think he does more harm than good overall. It all seems to emanate from failure to get the basics right.........................Seem to be hearing that we were trying to defend the game out too early on. PB should know better. Never a good tictac at this level. Why could'nt he put Reid on and gone for a second goal. Very disappointed, Could be top. Feels like an abject failure 4/10.

As much as Straker is not my favourite, \I don't blame him. We all dive into tackles with arms out. Try doing it with arms behind back!.

He was playing the whistle. They're saying that he was forced into the foul. Having seen the replay, I don't actually think he was fouled and the ball was contestable.

in some ways we've been a bit lucky the last couple of games. would love a win, but looking at the last few wins (3-0, 2-0, 2-0, 2-1, 2-1) i might go for 1-1. the good thing about the last two wins, other than the comebacks, is that they now know they don't have to keep a clean sheet to win.

my post from the pre-game thread- wish i had put money on it now. that's ok, only a point off top.

If anyone said that we get 7 points from last 3 games, I would snapped it off your hand, but there is loads of what if moment in my mind, I am sure everyone mind too .... next is away at Chesterfield in FA Cup & at Torquay (team that don't want to play for their manager so I am sure they be fired before they play us!!) a potential defeat!

Last time we lost points after a last minute goal, we went on a poor run. Hopefully this team can show character and that they aren't children .... eh Phil :winking:
