Need to forget about any transfers that didn't happen for whatever reason and concentrate on what we ALL actually turn up for, a pre match beer with mates, a win in our beautiful run down Roots Hall, a better attendance and some football!

A change of tactics from PS this season has seen us witness some really nice moves at times despite our disappointing results!

We've created loads of chances and now today we kick on.

We're an army, sometimes it feels like we are a platoon or a squadron, sometimes we feel small and insignificant but lets grab that win no matter how it comes and let's be a tight knit group! Get behind them.

Agreed, I like Woodyard, he has more presence in midfield than Kane often showed, and he can play the defensive role.

Ok I may have over exaggerated slightly but even in a few years time if he goes on to play a more first team role I think he will be just as effective as Gordon Connelly, for anyone who doesn't remember him he was absolute *****

The injury news from The Hall is scant and, for me, needs reading with a recognition that Timlin was "weeks" from playing and then turned out next day. So is Fred, Bomber and David Martin a similar type of fitness issue? They might figure today.

The heart has been ripped out of the midfield. Now spicer might be the answer, i hope so, but feel rather than a forward we need at least two midfielders, a few injuries, or red cards and we will be well up the creek, without a paddle. Saturday, well imo we could be looking at draw, unless a few players start finding there form

I haven't seen us play for several months now, but reports on here have suggested that young Kane wasn't playing with much heart of late.

I think that is unfair. I think he did well pre-season and on the whole feel he's done what's been asked of him this season. Maybe one or two errors at Sixfields last week but generally did ok. Good movement and well taken goal. Not sure sure why there is an apparent loathing towards him by a section. Maybe because he subtly goes about his work rather than a bull in a china shop hard man. Ok he's a little lightweight but would this be any reason to criticise him. Maybe going to Posh he'll beef up more similar to Kighltly when he went to Wolves. but was showing signs of progression to a another level this year and maybe the move was best for him as his style may well be suited to where he has now gone.
