It really gives me NO satisfaction to see us beaten horrendously this evening but didn't I say I had a hunch about their pace causing us problems going forward and out wide and that Baldwin will need a while to get up to first team speed as well as Swindon being extra motivated after the weekend results. Safly they wanted it more than us which concerns me. Not the way I wanted my predictions and opinions to start going correctly. Let the team re-group and roll on Plymouth.

Clueless, passionless, useless, gutless, disgraceful and utterly unacceptable.

Recall these comments have been mentioned more than once in recent games?. Fact is Swindon have been more consistent than us in recent months overall, so i'll not get to demoralised tonight. However, if we dont get 3 points at Plymouth (if the game is played) then i think i'll start to get concerned.

beaten by the better team , have to accept it and move on.
losing is one thing , not playing with any heart is another and not acceptable.
i'm not going into the mohsni debate again , but if some of the others cared as much as him , then maybe things would have been a bit closer tonight.
what does he have to do to start a game right now ??

Just got in couldnt stay until the end. WTF has happened to our defence??? during the unbeaten run we didnt look like conceding but since then we look like conceding every attack. Absolute shambles in defence no fight in midfield and no threat up front. Promotion??? We are lucky to already have points in the bag otherwise relegation could easily be on the cards. Swindon scored 3 goals from inside 6 yard box which proves if nothing else they wanted it more than us. Have seen more fight and passion at a nuns convention!

The fact we have lost heavily to all the decent teams in the God-forsaken league surely makes you think we aren't actually that good??

It was nothing about caring enough, it was about being not good enough.

Not sure why when a team loses its down to "Passion", it was dire performance that lost that. Swindon just ripped us apart and we looked very poor. They have beaten us 3 times this year and it doesnt matter how passionate you are, they are just much better than we are.

Based on what..... he may not mince his words but I've at least him and his team have show passion....

We haven't!:nope:

Based on the fact his team were clearly told to celebrate in front of our fans to provoke us.

All three first half goals they ran to our supporters, and the first one Ritchie seemed to run away then remember and run back to us to celebrate.

If they werent told to do that by Di Canio Id be very surprised as it looked pretty planned.

Still 3rd in the table... If someone told me we would have lost 4-1 to Swindon, but be 3rd and 3 points off the top, I would have bitten their hand off. Every team goes on a slump during a season, we are on one at the moment, but Swindon had there's at the beginning of the season, Cheltenham are due one and Crawley have had it a bit up and down. UTB.

Dont agree with Luggys after match comments. Thought Pat baldwin did ok for someone who has not played and perhaps he needs to address his comments to our current left back Gilbert who gets beat continuously and blames everyone else, Barker who seems to be having a bad run and Dickinson who's first touch is pants. They never seem seem to take any flack even though they were woeful today.

Poor team selection tonight i think. Not sure why Ferdinand or Kalala started TBH. Thought Sampson looked good, Dickinson has as poor a game as i've seen him play. Defence obviously not good, Barker was caught out more than once. When he had the ball, I thought Baldwin looked good - confident and assured, however, you have to question the new guy when we ship more goals than we have all season - obviously something wasn't working. Shame for the result, but I thought Roots Hall was as supportive as I've heard all season which is a good thing. Gutted.

Shambles of a performance.

Wish people wouldn't slag players off all the time though, it's like a broken record. (I understand frustration at a poor performance but it'd be nice to have a few minutes without someone moaning) Oh and people saying we should sell Morris and Dickinson? Then making Donkey noises when Dickinson touches the ball. Nice.

Sturrock cost us this, terrible decisions!

I say it time and time again, you cannot play Timlin on the wing, it's an absolute waste, Martin must have been fuming!

That said if happily have Di Canio here now, he knows his stuff and they play football the right way!

Hard Luck Shrimpers.

If it counts for anything, I was worried it might be the Town instead who might could have lost tonight, after 90 tough minutes playing our hearts out against Leicester on Saturday.

Obviously no-one looks forward to playing a team with an ex-manager and ex-players. (Benyon & Timlin can cause most L2 teams problems).

Still 90 minutes does not a season make - I'm sure you'll be in/around the automatic spots come the end of the season.

SUFC Dave is right - we had a truly woeful start to the season, (only expected with a completely new side who hadn't gelled).. so I'm sure your guys will stop the rot too.

As much as I think Luggy is totally nuts (he painted our home dressing room Dundee Utd Tangerine !!), he is a pretty decent manager.

If I had to choose, (despite the facist 'baggage') .. I'd probably still go for Paulo.. I've never seen so much passion at the county ground before. Besides.. if nothing is happening on the pitch.. you can always watch Paulo waving his arms around in the air, like a windmill, or being sent to the stands.... (I'm starting to wonder if he really prefers to sit with the fans during games !!)

Interesting to read your reviews on McCormack. Together with Flint (recently injured), the pair have been fantastic for us this season - and have really driven our move up the table. Devera on the other hand (despite scoring tonight) is capable of giving Town fans a coronary.. we conceded 2 against Leicester due to his poor marking.

All the best for the rest of the Season !!!

1. It's Paolo not Paulo
2. Devera has been stead after a very shaky fist month with us. I don't think you can blame him alone for the Leicester goals, we had a left back that watched the crosses being put in and even though I can't stand him Beckford is deadly at times.

Other than that, I agree. McCormack has been absolutely key and would normally be a shoe in for player of the year. Only Ritchie and Caddis have been excellent too.
-------------------------------------

Long way to go yet. Last time we beat you in the league you went on a 17 game unbeaten run. Would be happy for us (Swindon), Cheltenham and Southend to go up. But Shrewsbury, Crawley and possibly Torquay will have something to say about that.

Interesting to see McCormack play at the back last night, thought that after an early yellow card, we would have put more pressure on him and maybe shoved Mohsni on him to wind him up a bit.

When he first signed for us, he was playing well and hitting top form. In league one, he formed a great partnership with B*iley in midfield, but got a knee injury which made him miss the start of the 2008-09 season, and never rediscovered his form that made him a popular figure. Add that with him being spotted in nightclubs drinking and his ranting on the field, where he would have a go at nearly anyone around him. IIRC he had a spat with Francis Laurent.
